Absolutely love this channel. I would say easily in between the 3 most useful ones. all you say is valid. But not exactly the whole picture. but obviously it is difficult to cover the whole picture in 3.5 minutes :) I think the job search success depends on industry, profession and the market needs too. Also the level of professional knowledge. Companies look for increasing profit and will chose the candidate who will deliver and sometimes discard language gap.

I request you to make a video where you can explain more on technical Jobs be it in IT, Automobile or Energy sector because there are a lot of incomers who do masters in English taught course and knowing the right language skills will definitely help during application.

Hello Michael Got a question which is strictly related with grammatic problems that i've come across while i still trying to comprehend, my language expriences usually comes from my daily activites for ex. i would thought myself when i was learning english also that "how would i say this in English" kind of learning method i've developed in the past years and then again for couple of years still yearning to learn german as correct as possible but sometimes there is this spesific words come across my mind when i build the stracture of sentence.(i must have heard that words from tv etc.) My mind automaticly makes up an article(mostly guessing) and turns them in demanding format(A or D) in my mind which is also bothers me. Finally my question is, is it "really" that essential to use right article in day-to-day life?
@may.flower97 жыл бұрын
I also find myself making up sentences in my mind, I think it is a very useful learning technique when we are not directly studying. I am very curious about the question of articles! Michael can you please give us information about the topic?

One issue I encounter most is that whatever they teach is proper German, and the average German doesn't actually use those terms in their daily speech as if they are a university professor, or news paper. They need to provide a more well rounded teaching experience rather than focusing on grammar, syntax, prepositions and so on too much, cause then you fill your mind with grammar rules etc. and forget all the other important and useful information... They are necessary, but it is best to teach them just as words or phrases. There are many methods to learning such as: word association, repetition, flashcards, vocabulary lists of related things often works well then you learn a lot of vocabulary for 1 topic at a time. Ich spreche ein bißchen Deutsch, but ironically online placement tests suggest I am somewhere between B1 and B2. Personally, I disagree with that assessment. However, I can teach non-German speakers the basics. Mein Vater kommt aus Schleswig-Holstein, in der Nähe von Belauer See. Jetzt wohnt er in Kanada. Er hat in Kanada gelebt seit er zwei war. Ich verstehe Deutsch besser als Ich spreche und schreibe es. I never took any German courses in my life. Therefore, my abilities need improvement too. My German would improve if I used it daily. However, I haven't got a proper outlet to learn from. A German friend gives me advice now and then.

Hi Michael I just discovered your channel and I am gripped by how good it looks. i just asked this question in other channel but you appear so welcoming of questions I cant resist the temptation of trying it with you, besides I feel you might find my question interesting or unusual coming from a A2 level student, I bet you never confronted it before. I find the issues of stress and rythm in German very un-tackled by teachers when in fact it is harming the conquest of fluency in most if not all students, often for years, and phonetic transcription in ALL published dictionaries, with the exception of the excelent online wiktionary (no help in rythm though), are not totally right. Anyways, my current obssession is to have a list of what are the word categories which are stressless in German. Obviously nouns and adjectives are stressed, but all other kinds of words I am constantly wondering, particulaly sein forms, conjucntions, indefinite pronouns...it's torture man :) I never know whether to say "ích bin ein Berlíner", or "ich bín ein Berlíner2 or what. Perhaps you can grab one of your indepth grammars if you dont have the whole list off the top of your head ? Thank you and I'll come back to a great channel.

Hi I am into Human Resources and currently at B2 level which focuses of Beruf Sprachkurs. Will this be enough for an HR professional ?
@SmarterGermanBerlinАй бұрын
Of course. C1 is mainly for university or when you want to become a teacher. HR doesn’t require fancy vocab or sentence construction. Do you pay more for the Berufskurd than for a normal one? I hope not because the difference is merely vocabulary which doesn’t justify a surcharge. Unless you got a real HR employee sharing their knowledge which I doubt s as teaching German would be considered a downgrade.

Danke fur seinen Antworten. Ich spreche Tamil als Mutterspracher, aber Ich spreche auch Hindi , Sanskrit, Englsh , Francosich . I saw your video with Cary and you were spot on in saying that Grammer is over rated. After a while it is like some forumula that becomes a breeze, but vocabulary is a strain. Indulging in culture and to be open with a language in a prerequisite to learn any language. And using the mother tongue as foundation and learning is important if you have crossed the age of 6 - all of which you said very correctly. I am writing in English so all would understand.
