We don’t legally allow 16 yr olds to drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, vote, have consensual sex, or join the military. There are reasons for that. It’s hard to fathom why anyone would allow a teenager to change their gender - major surgeries, harmful and POWERFUL hormones. It makes absolutely no sense. It breaks my heart. @@kristinebrown414 RIGHT?! I was a major tomboy. I still am, really. But that was the late 70s, early 80s. I can only imagine what these “woke” people of today would’ve said. While I love being a woman now, I always thought that boys had it better - no dresses on holidays or for church, being told to “act like a lady”, etc. And in my teens, a lot of my friends were guys. They just made more sense to me (sometimes still do). If I had been given the choice to “be a boy”? I may have, not knowing or understanding what that entailed.

The truth is that sexologists and psychologists sometimes love to play God with minors' sexuality. In an case from some decades Ago a toddler lost part of his penis in a playground acidente .The specialist doctor convinced the poor parents to take off ALL the penis and raise the toddler as a girl. As the boy did never behave as a girl when he was growing up ( even unaware he was genetically a male) the doctor then ordered this poor boy to undergo a therapy that consisted of "exercises" where he was almost raped, but the doctor forbid the parentes to be present in these "exercises". When the boy reached 21 the parents told the whole story to him and he was incensed and wanted to sue the doctor, but the doctor was the main expert in this área and had even published articles telling the "resounding success" that has been his "sex reassignment " so no lawyer would go against such renowed authority. To me this doctor was either a sadist or a pedophile, or probably both.

Imagine as a woman you are told you have breast cancer and we must do double mastectomies to save your life ( hopefully- no promises here ever). It is absolutely devastating. You are in tee total shock. I have witnessed this as a nurse and as a patient just having one and knowing you might have the second at any time. It is a certain Hell. No matter how strong you think you are, or go for augmented breasts that is torture of a long road before or IF they heal.A genuine nightmare up close and very personal. In my opinion, scientifically and personal, it would be devastating to a teen.Totally. If straight, autogynephilia so as you say sexually fetishing themselves as women rarely if ever removing genitalia using hormones and/or implants to resemble breasts almost demanding female partners and often misogynistic. Women should be wary of them. Then the hyper feminine gay men taking the next step but retaining 'gay man' vibes. I am so incredibly heartbroken by what these young people are going through. I am 59 now, and went through gay conversion therapy between the ages of 24-31 (and later sued my practitioner, a psychiatrist, then wrote a book about it all). To me, many of these transitions (esp for young kids who are probably just gay) are the newest forms of conversion therapy but at another level that is completely out of control. God help us all. This is a medical scandal unlike anything we've seen before, I think.

I remember going on SSRI’s and when I was out of town and didn’t have access to getting a refill I started getting withdrawals so bad I wanted to end it all. watching these stories makes me so sad yet so thankful. Someone is finally speaking out. Had I been born a few years later this would have been me. I was a tomboy. I was SA early on in life. I was confused and hurting and uncomfortable in my body that had been violated. I wore boys clothes for YEARS and a binder at 16, all just to hide the body I didn't understand.
