What made Gandeeva SO GOOD? (Cardfight!! Vanguard)

Gandeeva is one of the best top meta decks from set 10 onwards, that is UNTIL Stirgna got restricted to 1 copy. In this video, I share my opinion and discuss about what made gandeeva so strong in the first place, and how even after the nerf, gandeeva is still a very solid deck in the standard format of the trading card game, Cardfight!! Vanguard.

Poor Eugene LOL 😂 I think we might already be in a “Gandeeva 2.0” moment with Shiranui. Shiranui might not retire and draw as heavily as Gandeeva did, but to multiattack so heavily on first stride, have card draw, and some little forms of retire, is kinda oppressive in a new way. Like, Magnolia needs to build a full board just to swing for 6, not for Shiranui’s case. It’s also weird how Bushi released the most anti-control deck card in their new Regalis Piece, so I don’t know what’s going on over there anymore 🤷‍♂️

Everyone blindly hyping up Shiranui like "Yay Dominate back!" until it comes out people start playing against it and go "Wait Dominate was horrifically abusive cancer this is awful!" People seriously don't remember what G was actually like until it slaps them in the face and remember G was the worst of the worst of the worst. I know because people are unironically asking for Gredora. People want literal Yugioh floodgates now.

@@elin111 we got floodgates in premium. Its called honoly. In standard you got defensive OT. Mechanic made just for worse player to have some sort of comeback.

Who knew, making a faster stride deck would explode the format. And with a card effects you basically draw and make opponent got less card. Bushi must say that this deck is a mistake.

Gandeeva being blatantly strong is about as obvious as it could be lol. Stirgna+Alfaqaar made the crit requirement easy, it auto punished every deck that relied on playing a lot of rear guards and it had built in draw to its main mechanic so guarding was not hard at all. On top of that having a strong turn 3 which essentially gave it first strides level of power, the deck scaled well in to late game because you could keep binding and popping cards all the time. Deck is dead now with one Stirgna but I would not be surprised if it was still better than most of the meta sans Lianorn and Drajeweled in set 13 if it went untouched.

Honestly, Gandiva did not need the restriction, cuz it was already kinda falling off when it happened. They should definitely do restrictions earlier.

Now that bolt bremar dragon is a thing, you can get the bind started a turn earlier since you don’t have to be on grade 3, just have to take a damage.

Gandeeva is now a dead deck with the restriction. The restriction should've been at least two Stirgna. But ultimately, Gandeeva should've had 10 binded cards for the +Crit. 5 binded cards for the +Crit made it too managable and accesible by first turn 3. Especially when the meta was a Turn 4 for Persona ride along with the Hydragum Masque allowing persona rididng when opp is grade3.

That deck shouldnt have lines "if you did not retire, draw card bind 1". There shouldnt be a deck with 0 counterplay. You rush gandeeva, you get punished. You dont rush, they draw bunch of cards and accomplish same thing. I know standard format is made for babies that requires decks to have literaly 1 line of play, but cmon.
