It is a tradition which upholds the balance of natural law or dharma since the imbalance can lead to karma or cause and effect and consequences (reincarnation in the case of humans). Hindu/Dharmic tradition was built around the Vedic metaphysics Sankhya which can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (direct knowledge through focus and meditation). But none of the Abrahamic religions were built around any well validated metaphysics. It led to blind belief in a book, needless prophets/middlemen, angels, non existent heaven/hell, fantasy stories (propagated as history), proselytization, and half baked responsibilities towards nature and discrimination/violence against people (who are not followers of Abrahamic religions) due to lack of understanding of Karma or cause and effect (created due to violation of balance of natural law or dharma due to human ego), reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle) and Moksha (microcosm to macrocosm)

If you still like to believe he existed, at least try to validate the nicene creed claims of Christianity like ``Virgin birth ``'' son of god". if you don't validate, then you are just blindly believing that he existed based on fantasy stories propagated as history.. Magdaleen existed but so called Jesus did not. She was obviously the wife of a person called Damsa (a sidekick of APOLLONIUS OF TYANA). Apollonius of Tyana (an enlightened pagan sage) was suppressed but his sidekick Damsa was propagated as the enlightened one and he was re-named as so called 'Jesus". @@sykespicot7011 do you even know the meaning of submission? In Sanatana Dharma ther are no commandments. The Dharmic way of life is explained by the guru to the student in a healthy discussion. There is no such thing as dammening for eternity in hell or any such scary proposition. The student is not obliged to submit but is expected to use his intellect and arrive at his own understanding.

There are no such groups like Jewish and Hellenistic Christians who fought on each other .Esther is wrong In this conception. Do you understand the meaning of that verse? It means nothing should not be in your way in loving your God not even your life or your loved ones. Why did Jesus told to honor your parents and love your neighbors as yourself if he meant that you should hate your parents?. why did you leave all the other messages of Jesus? You need to take every messages into consideration and not pick one and leave the other. No one force you to believe and it is all up to you. Jesus came to teach us about God and how to get to heaven and those who don't believe that will learn the truth when you face him on judgement day after you die. If you don't believe in Jesus then he will never force you against your will. Jesus is giving every opportunity for the humans to get saved. Jesus will save for those who are willing to follow him because he took the punishment himself to save them from the punishments for their sins. The only conditions are believe in him, follow his commandments, repent about your sins and give up your evil ways. Good Christians are only trying to pass this information and warn about consequences.

@@joseph8786 [1] You also cannot say one thing in place A and contradict that in place B; if there is inconsistencies, it's a distorted document, although not by Jesus but through the Gospels who we must “believe” since the Bible isn't something that Jesus written, it's written more than 50 years later than Jesus's death. [2] There isn't any evidence of you being “saved”. [3] Christianity isn't spread through love of their “Good News”, but rather it's spread through mass cultural genocides, forced and exploited conversion.

@@anakata3254 If you understand the context and the circumstances the message was given then you will know that there is no inconsistencies and contradictions in the whole Bible. Bible is not written by Jesus but it was inspired by the Holy Spirit ( Spirit of God) so there is no error in the Bible. There are numerous evidences throughout the history, you were saying no evidence because you do not know about the evidences but again evidences are not needed because Jesus told so and his word is more than enough. Jesus told that in Matthew 24:35 " Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." It was complete lie and extortion of the facts that Christianity was spread by forced and exploited conversion. Could you tell a single case (from your experience or any one that you know) of a forced conversion by a Catholic Christian.( Catholic church accept anyone into the church only with full and free consent and even then it take one to two years to complete the process and the preparations)Jesus doesn't want the name's sake conversion but he demands conversion of hearts in order to save you.

@@sharonnabel LONG LIVE RAMA. It is not gibberish. Rama led a dharmic life. Dharma is the natural law and if you follow it you don't create karma or cause and effect and reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle). So, the purpose of hindu/dharmic tradition is to make its people follow dharma so that no karma or reincarnation is created and eventually one gets moksha (microcosm to macrocosm) .

One girl loved a Christian boy was sold to red light area. Another Christian doctor returned from Africa with large amount of earning was married to a drunkard by the church. The drunkard spent away all her savings. The suffering doctor was given money by me for food and for conveyance to hospital. She was penniless. We are not pagans nor monotheism we are above and better than them. because God is not a slave to monotheism nor to paganism. god's omnipotence allows god to merge and divide in singularity and dualities. that's why both mono and pagan both are attributes of God. if god is mono that means he is stuck in one format which makes him/her limited and not omnipotent which means monotheistic god is false and not almighty and if he/she is stuck in duality or paganism which makes it non-omnipotent and false god. so only Hinduism has the correct understanding of God where god is paradoxically both mono and pagan at the same time or fusion of both. we should be proud of Snatan dharma. god is a list of paradoxes from all angels, directions, realities, and dimensions which makes us realize the true nature of God as we evolve and our limits of intellect, logic, and understandings evolves the understanding of god evolves and only then god is true with infinite possibilities and omnipotent. if god is stuck and fixed in one book ideas and can't go beyond it that means god is a slave and limited to his own creation and not omnipotent hence he is not true. god should be limitless possibilities and as we evolve our idea of him should evolve which exposes all one book religions and narrowly limited worldviews and exposes trueness and omnipotence of god hence only snatan dharma understands what god truly is and snatan dharma keeps evolving limitlessly which is and matches with the true nature of god.

If they were so secular and democratic why in the west there was no public holiday for Diwali or any hindu festival?. In India we have holidays for Christimas or Ramadan or Ramzan. Point is, west has the highest number of rapes, divorce rates, gun violence, racial discrimination against visible minorities, broken homes, teenage pregnancies, single moms, consumers of lot of anti-depressant medications and also huge debt. So, stop shining the shoes of your white masters. West has already lost its shine. Above all, the separation of Church and State is the foundation of secularism. So, secularism and democracy has nothing to do with Christianity.

A Christian state is a country that recognizes a form of Christianity as its OFFICIAL religion. Today the countries of Armenia, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, Greece, Georgia, Norway and Malta etc are Christian states. They maybe secular in the law but nevertheless they are not at all squeamish about declaring themselves to be Christian states built on Christian values. Moreover the proof lies in the pudding, a recent Abortion ban after 6 weeks in the state of Texas of United States reveals very clearly how much of US law is influenced by the Bible. Sorry for destroying your illusions, but you are better off with the cold hard truth. Stop picking on Hinduism, it’s the underdog and a minority world religion. There is a video which shows one pastor who proudly announced that he desecrated idols by touching them with his feet and made all the converted people of many villages do the same. He even said that it felt happy by doing that. There are more heinous acts which I even can't bear to remember . If all people are created by God , aren't all religions also created by God ? But mam you are taking it all wrong.. I initially had many doubts like you had I still have some.. but every time anything confused me I prayed about it and it really helped.. I received information and understanding.. Stephen was stoned by Jews who did not want to accept Jesus Christ as the son of God.. Jews worshipped the law of their religion like God and started considering themselves higher in the society.. they were main focused on the laws and not on humanity and forgiveness.. they did everything wrong with people, treated them with disgust in the name of law.. pride was in their hearts.. they started considering themselves superior in the society like Saul at the time of David.. but those laws were made to let people know how can they remain holy for their God.. because God is the holiest and he wants us to be with him but our sins separate us with him.. He used those laws, those very tough laws to keep us holy for him.. but we hardened our hearts instead.. brought pride in us.. separated the society in different groups and priests considered themselves superior because they thought they always follow laws so they thought they must be closest to god.. but they were proudy, lacked humanity, empathy for people and treated God as they already knew what his will is.. and this is what devil do.. bring pride in us.. we often forget who has given us all these authorities and powers and for what purpose.. we are all equal for God.. God loves us all.. but God knew sin brings death as punishment.. we have to repay for our sins in this world.. bcz we chose this world and this world is operated by devil.. that's why he wanted to put these penalties on animals rather than on us.. penalties can be paid off, but that cannot change our hearts.. so he brought Jesus for us.. one death penalty to him for all our sins and accepting him in our lives is actually giving him authority to change our hearts so that we can actually follow God's laws with heart and not forcefully.. and through him even if sin again, even if we break God's laws, Jesus forgiveness is enough to take away the penalty from us bcz Jesus knows change takes time and he is so patient with us.. he says this in the Bible "the good thing I have started in you I will continue it till the end".. that's why those tough laws are not so imp for us to focus on but on Jesus who can bring change in us and we remain free from the penalty of our sins bcz he died for us and he is our teacher to bring us back to god's presence.. yudhister ne bhi toh mahabharat me kaha hai ek jhoot bolna bhi paap hai aur hume uska karma jhelna hota hai.. vahi karma jisko Jesus ne khud pr le liya... Following Jesus is difficult bcz when he comes he starts breaking your old mentality, which is painful.. he makes you a new person.. gives u a heart that knows what God wants.. he is our teacher and our saviour.. cannanites and their whole generation faced the penalty of their sins as per law.. law of karma.. sorry di, I ain't arguing with you but raising ques is imp and no human has all the answers, only Jesus has.. he is in real.. ask him and he will open ur mind and bring right information and understanding for you.. change takes times . @B Singh I can only speak from my perspective but I think it's because she became the woman she is, with all her thoughts, views and the identity of a Christian apologist turned champion of Hinduism under the name of 'Esther'. Without having gone through that disillusionment with Christianity, she would not be here today to so skilfully dismantle it from the inside out. Instead of quibbling with names, the Hindus should be thankful they have someone like her on their side. Only the identity of 'Esther' can do what she's doing; not the identity of someone called, say, 'Eshwari'.

Dharma has the Sanskrit root dhri, which means “that which upholds” or “that without which nothing can stand” or “that which maintains the stability and harmony of the universe.” Dharma encompasses the natural, innate behavior of things, duty, law, ethics, virtue, etc. Every entity in the cosmos has its particular dharma - from the electron, which has the dharma to move in a certain manner, to the clouds, galaxies, plants, insects, and of course, man. Man’s understanding of the dharma of inanimate things is what we now call physics. Those who violate dharma due to ego create karma or cause and effect and reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle). So, the purpose of hindu/dharmic tradition is to prevent creation of karma or cause and effect and put an end to reincarnation cycle and get moksha eventually. Dharma or the natural law exists since the manifestation of the universe and it will continue to exist since the universe undergoes manifestation/concealment duality cycle. So, hindu/dharmic tradition is ageless.

I’m born a Christian and honestly I don’t get all of this fighting between beliefs. From what I’ve learned every religion has a common ground. We just refuse to see it. God is everywhere. In the soil, in the clouds, in Jesus and in every other prophet. Jesus did not want religion.

There can be no real spiritual love or growth in such a setup. This is why I resonate more with Hinduism, which never forces its beliefs on anyone but encourages love, peace and spiritual evolution. Since Hinduism is older than the Abrahamic religions, I feel they just stole their teachings from Hinduism and adapted and corrupted them to suit their own political agenga.

Jesus was just a kind and noble man..so are most of the Hindus. I don't wish to break heart of my Christian friends but I have to say Jesus at best can be described as Saint as Hinduism is filled with loads of them and very realized and very powerful but they never started a cult ,since they knew exactly what is the purpose of life and where is ' Brahm' or The God.

Jesus was not just a kind and noble man but he is the true God irrespective of any ones belief. He proved that to his disciples and many others. He showed his divine form to Peter, John and James on the mountain. ( Matthew chapter. 17: 1-8). Only God can give life back , He raised Lazarus four days after his death and proved that he has power over life( thousands of people were present to witness this supernatural event). Jesus showed his authority and power over nature. He ordered the wind to subside and ocean to be calm and it obeyed his commands. Jesus expelled demon and many other evil spirit from numerous sick people and proved that he has authority over the evil. Jesus healed paralyzed , crippled, deaf , blind and people with all kinds of incurable deceases to show his mercy and divine power. Many ignorant people ask the question that then why didn't he save himself because that was required for him save humanity from their sins. That was his purpose to be born as a human to suffer and take the punishment by his suffering death on the cross. God is almighty and holy but he requires justice, God can't just take the sinfully unholy humans into the perfect holy place, some one has to pay the price for their sins and humans are incapable paying back the debt of their sins because their sins are countless and enormous so God himself came down as human and suffered to save the human because of his love for human.

I am non-religious but am always seeking more information. I love bits and pieces of teachings from all religions. I have come across most of what Esther is saying here. She adorns a distinctive Hindu attire and makeup and it really suits her. I however do wonder if she has put her present beliefs under the microscope to same degree of incisiveness as she did to Christianity. She appears to be a smart lady and therefore it would be great to hear her lectures on the same.

Loosing faith on one religion doesn't make another religion superior or better. Religious killings and sacrifices are the history of every religion. Don't believe me then go research. We live in a heap of lie and history said by someone in a certain way. Faith is subjective but how you lead your life based on your faith defines your religion. We can either be a bunch of hypocrites or lead a life of equality and compassion towards fellow human being. You will reap what you sow and that is Karma my friend.

hansamin The issue is blind faith based on monotheism which cannot be validated regardless of some "good behaviors" here and there. Hindu tradition was built around the well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya which can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (direct knowledge through focus and meditation). But none of the Abrahamic religions were built around any well validated metaphysics. It led to blind belief in a book, needless prophets/middlemen, angels, non existent heaven/hell, fantasy stories (propagated as history), proselytization, and half baked responsibilities towards nature and discrimination/violence against people (who are not followers of Abrahamic religions) due to lack of understanding of Karma or cause and effect (created due to violation of balance of natural law or dharma due to human ego), reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle) and Moksha (microcosm to macrocosm)

Well, if the western view of Hinduism is half as distorted as this lady's view of Christianity, then I fully understand Hindu resentments against Europe and Christianity. If I chose a Hindu mob, burning alive the Australian missionary, caring for leppers, together with his two little sons in his car, mercylessly pushing them back to the flames, when they tried to escape, all that just from religious hatred, many of you would probably argue - and rightly so - that I am cherrypicking the most appaling individuals and portraying them as typical Hindus, showing typical Hindu mind set. I don't know, what seminary did the lady attend. Maybe some of various American versions of multiple times degenerated degeneration of Christianity. There was a council in Jerusalem, in which the apostles considered the question whether Christians should stick to the Judaistic traditions, even if they are not traditionalist Jews or even not Jews at all. The key issue was circumcision of male penis' foreskin, for understendable reasons. And apostles decided and publicly declared, that who wants to stick to these traditions, he can, and who doesn't want, he needs not to. Because, regardless of whether a Christian person does or does not honour these traditions, the traditions themselves are not binding to any Christian and are not an essential part of Christianity. So, Stephen and others were in fact persecuted exactly for their religious beliefs. @Hello# Well, you are right. But you don't disprove what I have written. For example, in Paraguay, many Jesuite missionaries fought side by side with their indigenous parishers. Against their own people, the Spaniards. And they died for their indigenous flock. The Spanish crimes against indigenous peoples of Mexico were described by clergymen and these accounts were used by the catholic church to persuade the Spanish king to stop those attrocities. Things are sometimes more complex, than we would like them to be.

Those were written according to the level of awareness of the writers. The bible has a lot more which you seem to miss. The ten commandments are very clear I suppose. Your version of history is very exaggerated. The popes committed many mistakes yes but what they did totally contradicts the message of Jesus. There was a big reform process which you never mention. There was separation of church ans state. There was a lot of progress since Thomas Aquinas in the 12th century which you seem to know nothing about. I am not impressed by what you wrote at all. Tell me where did Jesus commit violence. He never did. But when the Roman empire became Christian, which was over 300 years after Jesus, mistakes started. Empires then were engaged in wars. All empires in history committed crimes and engaged in wars. Hindu history is no exception.

Also, once the Roman government chose Christianity, they were the ones who brutally suppressed and punished the worshippers of all,other faiths. Christians attacked and destroyed temples of non-Christians and academics who did not embrace the falsehoods of the concocted Jesus-religion. I was once a devoted Christian who learned about the hodge-podge and bloody foundations of that religion and have embraced sanatan dharma.

If your last name is indeed dsouza, then, this is your history...Your ancestors were most likely Konkani Brahmins, from the Goa area. Your pre-conversion last name would have been Kamti (today's Kamat), Prabhu or Naik. Some priest (who was a dSouza) after some arm-twisting, converted your reluctant ancestor, and gave him his last name, dsouza. What sort of arm-twisting you ask? Your ancestors would have been told that if they did not convert, the Portuguese/church/Christians would take over their land forcefully. After conversion, the very Christians took away your ancestral land anyways. After losing their lands, your ancestors were persecuted by the very same people so, they escaped down south (with the burden of Christianity on their backs) and that is how you would have landed up along the Konkan coast. As I Christian I can’t defend Christianity, nor will I attempt to because Jesus did not come to form a religion. I will say the teachings of Christ as found in the 4 gospels are all you need to follow Christ. If you keep your eyes on Jesus you will never fall. It's difficult to believe this story of Greek Jews as St Stephanos was stoned to death in front of St Paul ..who got converted to Christianity himself but followed the Jewish practices while in Jerusalem bit preached mostly among gentiles.. There is no Jewish god for Christians as Jesus is the son of God the father and has reminded that he came to strengthen the old testament practices ( from the heart) and not cancel it.. There were Greeks in Jerusalem and Jews..nothing like Greek speaking and araimic speaking Jews. Protestants who want to erase early christian history has come up with lot of stories..
