I really appreciate the balls for pointing out how the combat in RDR 1 is better than RDR2; even though I know gamers hate to admit that an old game does something better than new game, maybe it's a weird form of justifying their purchase or playtime. But RDR 2 aiming was absolute garbage, especially if you weren't using slow mo. If your just free aiming, it is so catered to using auto aim and had this horrible weapon swaying for the sake of realism, for a Wild West game? The weakest aspect of Rockstar's open world game has always been the shooting controls. They need to grow out of that auto aim garbage and adapt to a more "free aim" play style that's comfortable for the player, RDR 1 and Max Payne 3 are the closest to this accomplishment.
@likeandsharedeeznutsbruh28453 жыл бұрын

@RyGuy2243 жыл бұрын

i m playing rdr now and combat feels the same. Animations are just SO good in rdr2. Using mouse and keyboard for aiming is so much better than gamepad. i wish i could use mouse and keyboard for rdr also
@slygunslinger3 жыл бұрын
@@saruboss18 Yeah but making a port feel better on one system over the other is just lazy game development. There are plenty of games that have proper free aim on console and PC that feel equally as comfortable; even Fortnite, which is one of the most played games on Console and PC has very easy to use 3rd person free aim. Gears of War pretty much created the standard for proper free aim controls back then.
@Ornoob-3 жыл бұрын
I played both but I think RDR 2 does most things better than RDR1. I totally accept your opinion but the aim in RDR2 and the gameplay is borderline better and I played RDR1 after RDR2, it just feels clunky going back to the old system. And dismissing people's opinion by calling it "justifying their purchase" is idiotic tbh. They purchased the old one too. Arthur, the gameplay, the graphics and gunplay are all really good but I do like the small scale story of 1 and the desert setting.

RDR is easily my all-time favorite game. Graphics, story, the music (!!!!!!!), sound effects, total immersion. @gameranx nailed it stating that the game is slightly less realistic but ends up being more fun compared to RDR2 and I completely agree. Some of the mechanics in RDR2 are a little too deep to make it casually enjoyable. (having to pet/feed your horse, changing your clothes based on climate/location.. etc) Stuff like that takes you out of the moment and is a distraction.

@XvKJP20158 ай бұрын
@starscream6629 it would be cool if it had a proper remake. Every remake should stride for Mafia 1 and Dead Space. Those are true remakes. Especially DeadSpace. It kept the story but added new features. Dialogue. Changed certain scenes for a better perspective. The new "peel" machanic Added side missions. Side characters got some more attention. It added a lot. Any REMAKE needs to put in that effort and time.

I dont think so, its probably nostalgia. And rdr2 was a bit slow because of realistic animations but in everything else it is either as good or better, and to prevent the fact that rdr2 is after rdr1 from making me give it points unfairly . Lets lesve.realism aside. In terms of combat i dont know so i will give it to rdr1, in terms of the story i think its rdr2. Rdr1 story is good but rdr2 has a vastly better one in my opinion. And in terms of the open world experience overall. Rdr2 is better but rdr1 is great for its time. And it probably has an open world experience like rdr2 for its time so its a draw. I agree this comparison is not thorough but i dont wanna delve into the very details. So after all. While rdr1 may not be inferior for its time, its definitely not superior

@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012 No, it needs to be mentioned because everyone is assuming that RDR2 improves on RDR1 in every aspect which is false.
