Very inspirational and lovely to see good folk like you out having fun and respecting the countryside you're passing through. I love the Gloucester area and have done Thunderbolts many times on my Blackbird (not so good off-road), but have also done lots of 4wding around Barrington Tops. Really makes me want to get back to dirt riding. At 56, I'd probably better do it sooner rather than later! Cheers and thank you for such a great production - still bringing big smiles in 2024! Cheers from Sydney - Dave

"Magical" is 100% the correct word for that!! Just got back from an epic 13 day trip to the Idaho backcountry where a good buddy of mine grew up (it's 3k miles from home for me) He took the time to show us around his property and mining claim from the 1800s and it was the same, magical. I feel like I can still smell the evergreens at high altitude. No internet, no politics, just fantastic times. This was one of the first videos I watched after returning home. It hit just right. Thanks Brent!

Hi Brent 👋 wow what great scenery, that's not something you get to see everyday. Absolutely stunning! I've had my new 701 for about a month now, done a fair bit of customisation and still more stuff on transport, adding the OEM long range tanks and decide what soft luggage and what I need to do to install it correctly. Not just ADV riders but motorcycle riders alike have been very kind and welcoming, it's a great community and most are very helpful I've found. Thanks so much for another epic video, your experience shows, that drone footage is so good. Are you still using the Skydio or did you upgrade? 👏👍😎🤙🇦🇺👌 Cheers Scott QLD.

Hi Brent, I have been following you for some time now and I really love the video's you make. It's really inspiring to see you riding with some mates and having a good time in some amazing landscapes. I would like to ask you a question. You are always in the wild and there are a lot of dangerous animals and insects in Australia. How do you deal with that? I can't remember that you have discussed this topic before but I am curious. Keep up the good quality videos.
@brentbat Жыл бұрын
Hi Gisjbert Thanks for your note. Yes, I love being in the wild and while there are snakes and spiders etc. I think the thought of them is actually worse than the reality. Having said that, when I'm walking in the countryside I'm keeping an eye where I walk, I keep my boots inside the tent at night, and I also do have a first aid kit and emergency beacons etc. So if I did get bitten by something, we would call for a chopper ASAP. I've never really had any issues with wildlife except for Kangaroos and Emus that seem to like running towards my bike.

Well done Brent. Loved all your vids. Trying to buy a Skydio but having trouble. The outlet seems to no longer stock them in OZ. Have you found anything else that is as capable??
@brentbat Жыл бұрын
No, Skydio has never been available in Australia. They only sell them in the US which is where I got mine. I did know a guy in Aus that was selling his, I'll see if I can remember who it was.
@haitch1980 Жыл бұрын
@@brentbat oh wow. Thanks for the reply Brent. There was a company in Oz marketing them. But, they had no stock. They also directed you to the US who were also out of stock. Only accepting orders and deposit up front. I then also heard thru YT and FB that Skydio had advised they were prefering to focus on their commercial operations, more than the Skydio range. So, now looking at alternatives. I really appreciate hearing from you. My interest is similar to yours, but using a sidecar. (Were a weird bunch 🤣🤣

@georgehemminger9432 Жыл бұрын
Adv riding is the perfect hobby for white guys with excess income and an otherwise boring life. If coupled with boating and 4x4'ing, this is really the amount of stuff someone needs to maintain a good level of happiness. I guess when you get bored of all that, the middle aged man can upgrade to a 40ft RV and tow a 4x4 behind it with a boat on the roof and a motorcycle attached to the rear bumper. The happiness level with all that stuff for driving through puddles etc would simply be off the chain!
