Amazing! Thank you. You produce so many videos in a so short periods of time, I hope you still have enough time to sleep, to work and spend with you family :) As for study level aircrafts, I usually just use normal operations without any kind of failures so far, I just want to relax after working day. However, you're absolutely right - deeply worked-through systems make it so much better and contributes a lot to the joy of simming.

Indeed a lot of videos are pre-recorded and I'm just waiting for a good time to release them. There are days where I'm just like "what on earth can I film now? Another of those boring approaches?" and then there's days where I'd need to run multiple flightsims at once to cope getting along with my ideas and I record 8 videos in a row. So yes, plenty of time for family and friends, even next to working as a pilot!

Great video. I actually had a hydraulic overheat warning occur the other day. I shut down the system for a while and it went away, and never came back. I decided that I'll never do 'maintenance' to see how thing react to long-term usage. It should be interesting to see what happens.

haha, now that's an interesting approach. I used to do that a while back in PMDGs 747 in P3D, you really burned those hours away quickly with it! It certainly had some surprises in for me after a while ;-)

I had the same problem. Apparently the electric hydraulic pumps use the fuel to cool them so if the fuel level is low, you may encounter an overheat message if using the electric pumps.

Great! I don't have air conditioning in this office. (All this equipment needed to run the FS system heats it up in here.) I can't wait to try out the A320's cabin cooling feature! The A/C doesn't work in the stock Neo.

Thank you Emmanuel. Perhaps a study level airplane definition may require more details in its definition. I am only PPL by hobby ans using the SIM for 25+ years plus. To me a Basic Study Level is a SIM addon, normally payware, able to almost and extactly replicate the real airplane SOP manuvers and normal procedures of that expecific airplane. A Master Study Level will includes all of the above plus Emergencies and Systems. I am sure that with time, we will be able to redefine the concept. I feel like you are leaving out the GA land completely here. The Blackbird (Milviz) C310R most certainly meets those requirements for a ”study-level” add-on, with many others like the Just Flight Arrow and the Flysimware C414 being real close too

Thank you for your explanation on "WHAT THE HELL DO WE MEAN WHEN SAYING STUDY-LEVEL"! I really found this video helpful because the word "study-level" is used way too often on a lot of addon-aircrafts. Regarding your point of view the iniBuilds A310 is NOT a study-level aircraft...am I correct? Is it more like a "High Fidelity"-aircraft? I don't know how to really figure out what a study-level aircraft is, but I appreciate the work of the developers and buy their products. These kind of developers and technicians are the ones that drive the community! THANKS!

Used the ini a300 on x-plane.. fuel system was so broken.. in certain fuel pump/ crossfeed setup there was no fuel consumption at all anymore.. couldn’t even feed the apu from any other except the inner left tank 🤓

CBs are only some recent fancy flight simulator stuff which takes away development and PC resources. Be honest to yourself, how often would you use these switches? I am a MX guy and in my airline the pilots can only use one CB and that is the Radio Altimeter CB because the RA sometimes senses wrong data during aircraft power up, the rest of the CBs are exclusively to be used by MX personel. As far as I am aware no developer implemented the random hung ups of aircraft systems that can happen during aircraft power up, especially on aircrafts with a server type avionics network, so there is absolutely no need for CBs to be implemented. On newer Airbus aircrafts the CBs are not even accesible to the pilots anymore

@@A330Driver As far as I am concerned, the big reason is less about having the player fiddle around with the CB panels and more about demonstrating that because the CB panel works, the electrical system itself is more authentically modeled. Think of it like this. Let's say you have a couple of different addons for the P-51D Mustang. In one, you land the plane, shut down, and when you go to pull the emergency hydraulic release, the handle does nothing. In the other, it does. This may not have a major gameplay impact but having a working handle that actually releases the hydraulic pressure demonstrates that there is a underlying simulation of that system happening under the hood. It makes the experience feel more complete. In the case of circuit breakers. You may not actually interact with that panel much (if at all) but having a working CB panel that actually reflects the state of the simulated electrical system adds opportunities for failure management on top of being a good way to show how in-depth the electrical system simulation is.

I woulnd't quite say so. Both are good addons and I really enjoy flying the inibuilds, but it is not study level. Very enjoyable and well done for normal operations, but it doesn't hold up to the likes of Leonardo, Fenix or PMDG.

Stupid question: how often are there cases where a “real” simulator (full motion that pilots train on) does not perform like a real aircraft? if so, do these simulators get “patched” to fix it?

I can't give you any numbers, but I'd say that in about every sim session the instruction will say something like "guys, just ignore xyz right now, that's the sim."

For me is importen systems, functions like switches buttons works in aircraft like in PMDG 737, Fenix airbus, just flight BAE 146 aerosoft CRJ and flight model is good, default aircraft is not good enougth for me, I have fly over 20 years microsoft flight simulator so I want more advanced aircraft, I can understand new people to this want easyer aircraft to handle so it be easyer come in the flight simulator to enjoy it., Happy new year :-) Study level aircraft for me is the real training simulation there real pilot training at real airlines simulated cockpit of the real aircraft, PC flight simulator has only more advanced aircraft is my opinion not study level I think

Hi, ich habe mal eine Frage zur 737-800 bezüglich Inflight Eng restart, laut QRH soll es ab 27000ft mit Crossbleed möglich sein, ich habe es diverse male probiert, in verschiedenen Höhen (streng nach QRH) erst in 10500ft ist der Eng wieder angesprungen (Ohne starter assist mit höherer Speed war auch nicht möglich), habe es bei einem 2. Flug nochmal probiert, und es war das selbe Ergebnis. Ist das normal oder in Bug in der PMDG? N1 und N2, EGT und FF liefen normal hoch, sogar der Starter hat sich automatisch abgeschaltet, aber N1 stoppte immer zwischen 18-19%, je nach Höhe oder der Eng reagierte nicht auf den Throttle (Hung Start?)

Hi Sash, ist ein MSFS Bug, laut Sim brauchen die Motoren da oben knappe 3 Minuten zum starten. Zwar hat PMDG eine eigene Triebwerkssimulation, so dass die Anzeigen korrekt sind, aber FS intern ist das Triebwerk dann noch nicht gestartet. Ärgerlich, aber leider eine Limitation des Sims.

The FMC page, failures, didn't exist in a real plane!!! Causing the failures/breaking the plane (displays, systems) can be only done by pulling out CBs!

Unfortunately it's a ubiquitous term to signify add-ons that have received accolades for being the closes to an official flight simulator. Honestly I wouldn't care for it too much it's just a widely adopted nomenclature. Any aircraft with the study level stamp is expected to provide a high level of realism system, model and sound wise.
