Have you ever wondered what makes CDRWs rewritable? Just exactly how are CDRs and CDRws diffenernt? Why can you only record once on CDRs? How does a recordable CD work?
I will answer all of these questions in this video. I am sure many of you have owned and used a CD Rewritable at some point over the years. They are very convenient. You can record on the same disc many times. But why are CDRWs more expensive than regular blank CDRs? I take a look at that question in this video.
Some people may think that CDRs are dead. You will hear people say that nobody burns CDs anymore. This isn't true. Many people out there still burn CDs to listen to in their cars, or for a variety of other reasons. It is still very easy to find blank CDRs in many different stores, so there must still be people out there buying them and using them.
Do you use CDRWs? What is your favorite brand? Where do you buy them?

I kick myself every time I think about cd/dvd burners because I had the HOLY GRAIL: A stand alone dvd/cd burner, pre-industry wide copy protection, so that it can copy from TV or from another dvd without a problem. 1 to 1 worked just like a vcr! Even had recording settings like one. Pawned for quick cash and never retrieved! Felt so dumb once I realized the jewel I had lost.😭😭😭

@@techreviewguy7771 Yeah the other thing that hits me hard is my Dreamcast. I put money down at EB Games pre order. Also for the Dreamcast VMU fight stick. I bought Soul Calibur, Sonic Adventure, Evolution, Crazy Taxi, the Soul Reaver game, Code: Veronica, and all kinds of memory cards and peripherals. And 2 years in they canceled it. I felt so betrayed, being the only Sega Saturn kid in my area, I felt like I finally had a community when the Dreamcast launched. Everyone was talking about it, h how great Sonic was, everything, but alas PS2 crushed my hopes and Dreamcast. I was so angry I sold everything a lil while later and got a PS2 used. I imported stuff from Japan for the Saturn but with that I felt Sega at least tried. And still had Japanese games releasing so I felt good getting those and continuing to support it. I now know the business side of things for Sega, but as a consumer, back then, you felt like a fool. At least I did. Now I wish I still had it. Shoot if only to sell it again! The vmu cards and stick alone would be worth money! But no not really, now I just wanna play Crazy Taxi and Soul Calibur again, Power Stone, on original hardware.

You should do a video about the difference between CD-R and CD-R Music discs.

I have an RCA double trey one. Honestly, i never used it, i traded a neighborhood kid for it back in 2005 for a go cart. I was moving from Florida back to PA and couldnt take the go cart with me anyway. I got a computer shortly after the move and it had a burner so i only used it briefly as a player. I still have it, perhaps i should give it a try.

That was fascinating. I had a CD recorder from a stereo which I had for ten years. I currently have a Sony CD recorder and it's great so far. I'm planning to get a second one. What brands you suggest? Thanks a lot.

In my opinion, Sony usually makes very top-notch equipment. They have always been a favorite of mine. Not sure what brands are out there nowadays. My Philips one worked okay for years, but it has bit the dust. It was never 100% reliable, so I don't think I would recommend Philips. I see that B+H has a few. I am sure the Tascam one would be good too. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/CD-Recorders-Players/ci/14863

@@techreviewguy7771 my Sony CD recorder didn't work anymore so I ordered a KLH CD recorder via eBay and I love it. Also I ordered a IT record player with CD recorder as well from eBay and I love that too.
