I like to take notes on everything & it is immeasurably helpful that you provide notes in the dialogue area posted under the video! It is tremendously appreciated. Great videos.

PVA glue and fiberglass or equivent makes the durability rating go way up whether it is lightweight concrete or a slab being poured .the addition of watergrass after curing adds to the longevity

Please make a video about reinforced concrete thickness comparison. Is pouring for example 8 inch thick at once, is better than making 4inch first, and adding another 4 inch later next month
@creatingconcrete Жыл бұрын
uniformly poured concrete is definitely superior to concrete poured in stages

I'm looking to make a Cement planter and was wondering if you can share a way to calculate the proper ratio for a generally strong mix using acrylic?

I need to figure out what ratio to use to make an anti funicular roof structure.

I can't seem to find steel fibers for reinforcement. I was able to get fiberglass resin - it comes as a two part system. Thick liquid with drops of resin hardener. How much fiberglass liquid should I add per volume of concrete mix? (JB Weld brand). What I tried was having my water in a jug and mixing resin + hardening drops into the water together, then pouring that into dry concrete mix. My question is - should I be mixing the resin + drops separate from the water? Should I change this approach? Does the resin + hardener need to be mixed together before being added to any other materials? I can't seem to find any answers online. TIA!

hi there ! could you make a video for "optimal water cement hidratation for building cinder blocks or like one video for each type of concrete mix please? and them maybe try with mortars same thing ! will be very interested to know this ! for example for 1 kg of cement ! regular one type!

Just add coffee, it makes concrete 30% stronger.

What about adding more calcined lime? Isnt that what's holding 1000+ year old structures even today?

You can use nagajuna cement

Do engineered mixes use less Portland cement (to reduce cost)?
@creatingconcrete2 жыл бұрын
they use the "right" amount of cement to achieve the desired strength. Engineered mixes are less about cost efficiency in my experience.

Hi, great content, thank you! I want to make concrete dumbbells/kettlebells, whats the best method to make it "unbreakable"? I was thinking about adding fiberglass, or put inside a spiral made of tie wire, or both for better result? Maybe you can recommend something better? Thank you!
@creatingconcrete Жыл бұрын
galvanized steel wire embedded in the concrete would be the best, and a safety concern as well. Without the steel, even with a strong mix design, when the weight breaks it will fall apart, potentially injuring someone. The more steel the better, so even in teh event of a break, there is only a crack and nothing falls apart.

What if i mix epoxy in concrete?
@SharkFishSF10 ай бұрын
Try it, i think they even use epoxy tapes to seal old cracking concrete bridges.

Are concrete bags labeled “high strength” engineered concrete?
@creatingconcrete2 жыл бұрын
Yes, since they will require a quality control and specific mix design to achieve the desired properties as advertised on the bag.

@@creatingconcrete the high strength concrete mix I see on Home Depot website says it’s for applications greater than 2”. Are your projects always at least 2” thick? Can you do something less than 2” thick, and if so what would you recommend using in that scenario?
