I see a lot of comments about high expense ratio but believe me it's worth it (not for everyone mostly for people in retirement) because it has excellent downtrend protection you need to travel in a train that's slow but goes smoothly instead of traveling in a bus with all kinds of risks and bumps.

Because they have enough distribution channels where they can sell their MFS and don't need to price themselves competitively. It's not because of extra cost, but because they have an advantage which they use for extra profits. Same case with HDFC funds if you see .
