My latest album URBANESSENCE on Origin Records drops on October 21, 2022, but is already available for purchase on my BANDCAMP page right now! Bandcamp is a wonderful format that is fair to independent artists, and I'm encouraging everyone to make their purchases and show their support on my Bandcamp page even after the album drops on Oct. 21. Click hear to listen to a couple of tracks, and purchase a digital download or a physical CD unit, or do all three! titocarrillo.bandcamp.com

Brilliant, Tito! You have given us another skill to explore! Now, I need to search for different sized straws, and the inflator needle. And no worries, they’re not made with lead 😆, but some alloy that includes brass. Thanks!

today I thought about visible factors in studying pianist technics and e.t.c. Now I hear a proof my thinking. I'm glad. Thank you :)

When I play upper register (for me) long tones or patterns, I come close to passing out when I take the horn off my face. I have to take fast breaths to keep from falling out of my chair - so saying it doesn't take a lot of air to play high is certainly not my experience - but I'm open to new techniques and suggestions. Thanks for the vid, Tito

Have you considered that you might be close to passing out precisely because you're trying to use too much air? That may be causing way to much backpressure, mouthpiece pressure, and your head may not be receiving the proper blood circulation, causing you to feel like you're about to pass out. I've passed out before, and in my experience, it's when I've tried to move a huge amount of air through the horn on high notes.

@@jazzmindwithtitocarrillo605 Thanks for taking the time to respond, Tito. I'm going to work the tips you mentioned here. By the way I'm a 78 year-old comeback player, still making progress, no screamer but good enough to get a few local gigs (blues, jazz and funk). Looking forward to all your other vids.
