Mero and Cooper was far from my prediction to win, but they were the team I most wanted to win. Also, the huge dropoff in results started with the invitational, not C3S2. 3rd in C3S2 and 2nd, literally only losing by one single point, in C3S3.

to say he underperformed in the rest of C3 is stupid. He got 3rd and 2nd. He then did poorly at invitational, and 22nd with Edgey in major 1, but then 2nd with Cooper, and 9th with cooper and then as we all know, winning global with cooper.

I honestly dont think they are the best team in the world. They just played the best on the day. Dont get me wrong they are very good but coming into the tournament they barley played together. Only a couple cash cups the whole season, no scrims. They just had a good day. If you put them in cash cups and fncs they dont consistently play as well as they did. It wasnt luck, but a lot of things went together in the right way to let them dominate on the day, where other teams like kami and setty, or queasy and veno, are realistically better teams all around

Globals just proved that NA = EU currently. Mero is the goat I can see an argument against it but he legitimately has the most FNCS wins, and a GIANT LAN title, pretty hard to beat.

Tayson can be the greatest but he doesn't have a good lan placement. If Tayson placed at least top 10 for invitational and Globals then tayson would hold the crown since eu is the harder region and 5x on eu is crazy. Bugha is a 3x na east fncs champ and won world cup, placed 2nd in the recent online fncs but cmon mero did kinda carry in those 3 fncs wins lol. After world cup bugha has not placed well in fncs lans, now we have mero. Mero is a 5x na east champ, and now won globals but he did have a bad placement in invitational and hasn't won a major solo tourney. For me winning 1 big solo tourney sets you up there at the top, placing consistently in lans or winning 1 lan, and having good fncs placements or winning multiple. Without a doubt these 3 players are the titans of Fortnite, but we can all say without a doubt that mero is the overall greatest controller player to have touched Fortnite.
