Very nice….my father in law passed away year ago and we acquired his 55 300 as well as a 53 sh both running after sitting a about 6 yrs. The 300 was his fathers bought brand new in 55 when my wife and I received paperwork from the estate it included the original receipt from 1955. In 2006 he did some minor restoration and somehow lost the front wheel weights we couldn’t find them around property. I did a bunch of stuff to it already last winter used it all this year. I do need to put a wide front on it as we are in the northern mtns of nh.

What a blessing to have all of that. The tractors themselves are cool, but the story is what makes them special.

Just subscribed. Yes ive heard a row crop 300 described as a H in a fancy dress. We have several Farmall's. one is a 300 utility and we have a 350 row crop. and we have a junk 350 row crop. it still has the TA -Fast hitch and the live PTO. We are located in N E Arkansas

An H in a fancy dress, I like that! Thanks for the sub! If you are willing to deal on some parts I may have to look you up when I'm able to start making some changes to it. I'm in south central MO, so we're probably not too far apart.

I got my dad’s old 56’ 350 Row Crop and the TA was kinda dangerous for the uninitiated.

Good luck with your restoration! Can I ask what you had to pay for this Farmall 300 in this condition? My family has a very similar one we'd like to sell. Ours is in good working condition.

Thank you. I actually didn't pay anything for it, but I did promise my uncles that I wouldn't sell it. I would guess, though, that it would probably sell for somewhere around 1000 in my area.

At least you're honest about your predilection for doing dumb things. I guess that raises your chances of survival.
