Gonna throw my thoughts here as someone who got to test this cube before release: Overall pretty underwhelming, there is too much friction in the turns, some catching issues presumably due to the extremely square centers combined with the friction, the corner-corner magnetization is outdated and corner-edge magnetization like in the Valk and Gan is just better. Moyu really hyped up this cube and even used some deceptive marketing like claiming their sponsorees endorsed this cube when they hadn't even been sent one yet, but in my opinion the Gan is just better for most people for a cheaper price

I think we've reach the point in wich 2x2 or 3x3 can't be improved further. Some people prefer the weilong v9 to the v10, some prefer the gan 12 to the 15, ... and the first 2x2 in 3 years by moyu isn't even better than the last one. Companies can only add more useless gimmicks like "triple track" "240 magnet ballcore" "magic cloth" ... Let's face it, it's a simple product, you can only optimize a piece of plastic so much, and this is it.

definitely agree, though triple track is a technology moyu uses on big cubes, not 2x2 nor 3x3. it can actually be sorta useful on even cubes to get rid of repelling magnets on the inner layers (see lai s cube’s video) but it doesnt seem as effective on odd cubes

the weipo v5 isn't that good personally, I've tried it and the cornercutting is just bad, like other the other moyu 2x2s. The gan 251m pro is still the best by far.
