What makes water a renewable resource? The water cycle!

Chances are you haven’t thought much about the water cycle since elementary school, but it deserves the credit for supplying the Northwest with the majority of the its renewable energy. Hydropower accounts for about 86% of all the renewable energy in the Northwest thanks to the region’s mighty rivers and the water cycle.
