I was at my guy friend's party last night, he is an attorney. I went with my sister to his Christmas party. That place was FULL of great men, LOL! Judges, Doctors, Politicians, etc. I already picked mine out but last night reminded me that there are so many well-qualified men who could date me! But, I have always had the mindset that there are still a lot of great men out there and I do not believe in a scarcity mindset. (Was married for 17 years and starting over could be depressing but I have enjoyed this new chapter and all the new ways of dating in my late forties and as opposed to dating in my twenties.) By the way, great notes!

I’m not confident so single for me it is. I am confident that I lack confidence, I’ve had it rough and it’s tough to build. So that expectation from men is disheartening. “Best woman in the room” pft. Women don’t go around requiring the “best men” we’re attracted to him but we’re also realistic about people. We ask for “good men.” Many women who have that “confidence” have either had a silver spoon or have a lot now.

Yea I thought this was weird when he said men are really attracted to this. From what I notice about the men in my husband and my friend group is that the men all have pretty easy going women. They just want someone to be pleasant to be around. Be chill and dont cause drama.
