Soda. Definitely soda.

I went cold turkey on soda at the beginning of last month for health reasons and I'm pretty sure I'm dealing with withdrawal symptoms from drinking it all the time. Like, the cafeteria at my workplace has an entire cooler that's just soda and I was just staring at it on Friday for a few seconds with my mouth watering.

Part of me is glad I don't have cable mainly because it is too expensive. In turn, it helped reduce how much of the news I watch, but there were other shows I wanted to continue to watch. My finances aren't the best right now due to student debt, car payments, and rent.

Sugar. I’ve been trying to reduce how much of it I eat, but it doesn’t help that it’s everywhere.
@extremefalcon Жыл бұрын
Same here. The only sugar that I have is whatever in the cereal I have. That's about as much sugar I'll have every day other than what is naturally in other foods.

This! One can get all the sugar we need from fruits and vegetables. The problem is the crazyamountt of added sugars in foods. ex Now one serving of sodas has a crazy amount of added sugars. something like 80 percent of your daily intake. It wasn't easy to leave added sugars because that is the point of companies nowadays. But it is possible.

Media in general, processed food contains a lot of chemicals that your body can’t process, sodas are horrible for you same with energy drinks. And yet as I type this, I am drinking an energy drink.

9:20 If you want to FINALLY get to story 2. No smack against providing additional elaboration, but I find the first story in these videos getting longer and longer and dragging on more and more.

3:30 - older people grew up in a time when the TV was largely the one single and only information medium. Even if they know there are many other information outlets today, they just gravitate towards the good old TV they grew up with. Same reason why older millennials are more likely to torrent stuff rather than paying Netflix or Spotify. Also, they have a cultural commandment to always watch the news, because they grew up being told they were supposed to be always informed about what happens in the world (especially when they were young and World War 3 could start any time), and TV news fulfilled that.

I don't think what a lot of people realize is that A LOT of stuff we eat is literal poison that is either so weak or just plain doesn't work on humans, some spicy plants such as jalapenos and such evolved to be poisonous to make it so that small animals wouldn't be tempted to eat them so that they can mature properly, meanwhile humans eat them and we love the way the poison tastes, there is also the edible branch of the night shade family of plants aka tomatos though in this case they don't actually contain a poisonous chemical. to list off a small list without going into much detail there is also fugu (simpsons did an episode on this), rhubarb (the leaves are poisonous while the stalk is edible) chocolate (though its again only fatal to animals because we can tolerate the poisonous element) and many other things. I know this video is people critiquing very unhealthy foods and calling it poison but we also do it literally without thinking about it because it doesn't hurt us. p.s. I hate that i can recognize what the thumbnail is traced off of

Then there's puffer fish. Fine to dolphins but deadly to humans unless you know how to properly remove the toxins. Not sure if other aquatic life can tolerate them, just dolphins since they get a high off of it.

You can’t mention David Brinkley without mentioning Chet Huntley. I can still remember being at my grandparents’ house and their news show came on. I can still here the theme music and see them in black and white on the screen.

I don't know your definition for 'smeg' but in the UK it's a reference to a certain bodily fluid in the nether region of a male who doesn't wash 🫣 the amount of times it's repeated it's just throwing me off and making me feel abit sick lmao (Edit... Google smegma for more information) 😅
