Can I make a suggestion? I feed my dog a cooked diet and learned that finely mincing or pureed veggies helps your dog absorb the nutrients within them better. Carrots are high in sugar and a dog's system has a hard time breaking it down. When giving yogurt best to use plain, not flavored because flavored contains more sugar. Also dairy in general is an inflammatory food. You seem to be giving a large amount of peanut butter. Replacing some of that with canned wild caught no salt added sardines would be a good choice. I get mine at Trader Joe's. Soft boiled egg is healthier over raw as the white is cooked, but the yellow is runny still containing the fatty acids. Hope you found this helpful, as you stated you don't know much about dog nutrition.

I would love to do a raw diet for my dog... when I get her. But it’s really expensive, I wish it wasn’t because I think more people would do it. But I’m probably going to be giving kibble, maybe hydrating with bone broth or warm water with some berries, salmon oil, green beans, egg, or pumpkin purée. You gave some really good suggestions to add in :) I can’t wait till I get my corgi 🥰

Yeah it is hard to feed your dog specific diets! It can definitely get pricey unfortunately, unless you make it all yourself which seems difficult and overwhelming lol. But yeah there are tons of things you can add into your dog's bowl! I'm glad this was helpful and gave you some ideas!

Pumpkin purée helps w constipation, not runny stool. When any of my dogs or animals are constipated I give them pumpkin purée and it helps them go to the bathroom.

Your vet can run some tests but for us it was really just. about finding the right diet! When I keep willo on her freeze dried raw patties and keep her away from other random foods, her stomach does really well!

I fed Willo purina puppy kibble until she was about 8 months old and then transitioned her to a raw diet. I would keep him on whatever the breeder had him on for a few weeks, or even until a year old. If you want to do a raw diet, I would recommend Stella and Chewys freeze dried raw puppy patties. For treats you can use his food which works great, or look for single ingredient treats, or something like Zukes training treats

I'd love to do a raw diet. However, I cannot stomach cooking meat. I gag even cooking meat for myself. I only eat fish and chicken as it is. However, I finally found a kibble that works for my dog and he gets fruit such as bananas (only a few slices as it high in sugar), apples, raspberries and blueberries as treats. He struggles eating carrots for some reason, hates green beans and only like steamed broccoli.

How do you calculate how much “base” or raw patty meal to give them when you add other vegetables and eggs etc. I have a corgi too and am trying to figure out the right amounts for things so he doesn’t gain too much weight. I’m thinking about having part kibble, part raw patty (as a complete meal) with veggie and other toppers.

I try to substitute 1/4 of the recommend base (whether it be kibble, raw, etc) with veggies and other toppers. literally dividing her bowl into 4 parts and having 1 part take up the veggies. She recommended 4 patties for dinner so I just give her three!

You must put water for them Freeze dry . It is not good yo be given with out water they are dehydrated. It is not the same as real raw meat, the raw meat has its own hydration!
