I'm a nerd, too. lol When my daughter was in school, one of her favorite things to bring were my "pbj rolls"... I would flatten a piece of bread with a rolling pin (lol) put peanut butter and jelly on it and roll it back up and secure it with a toothpick lol. She didn't like pb&j sandwiches, but she loved those. Go figure. :-)

Maybe for meals at home try putting on a timer and making a game to see how fast she can eat. I did it with my kids because they only have 15 minutes for lunch but by the time they sit it’s realistically like 10 🤦🏻‍♀️. It helped us a lot. 😊

Joie Lecocke yea i know! My son usually scarfs his food but my daughter is a slow eater so she was having a hard time in the beginning. Now it’s not too bad. I try and open things and unwrap what I can and make them simple things so it’s faster to eat.

Kat I know! And that’s for all the grades. I thought maybe it was just their old school but it’s their new school they are at this year as well. I think it’s because they have so many classes per grade level and they need to fit them all in and rotate them out of the cafeteria so other grades can eat as well.

I think ours are short for the same reason...K-5 and 720 students. There are six 2nd grade classes, three 5th grade and the rest all of four classes each. That's a lot to rotate in and out of the cafeteria!

9:26 those are Toki Doki they are not cheap. That is the teacher gave those out. I know the vinyls figurines run about eight dollars a piece.

I work at a school and that's how long our lunches have always been. Its rough, but most of the kids only eat for about 5 and talk for about 20
