Football is very fickle. There’s no doubt that Mourinho is one of the top coaches in the world. Put him into a team where he’s able to put together high quality players and he’ll win things.

In anyone’s list of say the top 10 coaches in the world he’d probably be somewhere in that top 10. If you’re in the top 10 of your profession in the world then that’s an outstanding achievement. They guy did wonders with Man Utd winning the uefa cup and coming runners up in the premier league. With spurs, when he left, he was in the final of the fa cup and had the second biggest points total in the premier league for the previous 12 months. In Rome he won, Real Madrid he won, Porto he won, Inter he won, Chelsea he won. The man is a serial winner.

If Mourinho went to Liverpool instead of Rafa, he would be compared to the likes of Shankly because he wouldn't have been unceremoniously sacked like at Chelsea only to return a decade later and win another league title... No, Liverpool would've most likely have gone on to win 2 to 7 league titles under this man. Then the question would be, "Why isn't Mourinho already the next manager of Liverpool for the 24-25 campaign?". He didn't win the league due to 115 FC beating him for 1st place when he was at Utd... He didn't win anything with Spurs because of Kane lol not to forget that Spurs sacked him days before a cup final, and Roma sacked him as if they were 06 Chelsea. Klopp had the same kind of bad spell in 2017 that got Mourinho sacked at Roma, yet Klopp went on to win the UCL in 2019 and the league in 2020... Mourinho is being mistreated and he's too harshly criticized by the media, and everyone is just eating it up like babies. The media like to annoy and aggravate Mourinho... It's just how they are. They feel like they're annoying you, they become more annoying...

Spurs aswell could have won their first throphy is a while which would be success in the eyes of the fans (too bad he got sack before the final). And at Roma he won their first major european trophy since forever. So i would say he has been successful in terms of the calibre of the clubs he has mamanged in recent years.

There was a big ballyhoo when Jose confronted Paul Pogba at Man U’s training ground, whatever it was about, Jose is excellent at weighing up footballers for sure, and that’s one footballer that’s fallen from the pinnacle of his talent ✔️ Jose certainly knows his stuff, but I just think in today’s football world 🌎 he’s fallen behind the pecking order of elite managers, shame really, but everyone has a shelf life, and all good things do come to an end. 🤷‍♂️

Mourinho is a defensive minded coach. He's always been that way, pragmatic manager that used to be iron in his 4-2-3-1 formation for ages until he changed to a back 5 in Roma. Do Liverpool fans and board want a pragmatic manager? Sure, the start might be a big fanfare and some good results, but as soon as defeats start piling up it's never Jose's fault, it's the players or board-for not delivering him the players he needs. Perhaps less confrontational now because of last few years's results, unlike Tuchel, but still, I'd be very guarded unless you want unattractive boring football displays at Anfield on regular basis. Much different manager than Klopp, although seemed to give youngsters more of a chance in Roma than in previous jobs. It didn't work out in Spurs for him, was mid table and not in top 4 like he was hired to do when he left/sack and in Roma he was supposed to bring in UCL. Never did, but did manage a Conference League title. I don't think conference league is where Liverpool want to be in though.

Whoever employs him should give him a one year contract with a chance to renew if things are still going smooth. I think jose Mourinho still has a bit of tactical master class left in him. He still capable of winning a trophy. He probably the type of manager Chelsea need right now but i doubt it will happen unless he in charge of the transfers.
