When do you unlock version battles, like where in the story do I have to be to get them.

No unlock restrictions, as soon as you're able to connect online you'll be able to play a version battle. The Giga Chips mentioned in the video are obtained after you finish the last tournament

@@gaiaphoenixmedia you should start a fresh file in the Legacy collection, that is definately not true, especially since you can go online before the tutorial if you want.

My mistake, just looked it up again. Starting playthrough 2 or later the option is unlocked

So, once the chips are maxed out, even if you lose to the opposite version afterwards, it'll never decrease again?

It only changes in Version Battles, but it doesn’t change in Ranked or Casual Battles. Once it’s maxed out via Version Battles, there’s no reason to continue the Version Battle format since the chip’s power can only go down. Losing or winning in Casual and Ranked Battles won’t affect the chips’ power

@rodri99pt8 It's possible for both players to max out both chips, but it will take some more planning. Each player will need two profiles (Switch/PS, I don't know if Steam has something similar). One profile will need to be "Main" profile and the second will need to be the "Throwaway" profile. Have the winning player use their Main profile and the losing player use their Throwaway in the opposite version It'll take 200 more battles (minimum), but it's definitely possible
