Ken Filip Suson is my best friend in college, unang kita namin sa (COC) Cagayan de oro college. filipino subject kasama ko mama ko nun that time, nagtatanong siya nun dati kung anong course ko sabi ko 'ARCHITECTURE' . sabi niya 'same pala tayo' tapos sabi ng mama ko tabi kayo upuan ah, kaya yun dun nag start pagkakaibigan namin tawanan mga life problems na paguusapan, sobrang talented niya sumasayaw, kumakanta galing din niya mag english. sa major subject namin magaling din mag drawing, unang support ko sa kanya dun sa audition sa school namin. nakaka proud lang kasi sa pagsisipag ni ken naabot na niya dreams niya. i hope maabot ko din pangarap ko.

He can just sit in the corner doing nothing but still you can feel his strong appeal/aura ….. so effortless! I think Ken is in fact very confident, despite being sometimes self-effacing in front of cameras. Perhaps he is quiet because he is just being prudent, a matter of self preservation which I think is wise. But he is very confident with his talent, that is for sure. Also, he is intelligent - no one becomes CEO or a successful entrepreneur if one isn't equipped with good intelligence. Remember that unlike the other boys Ken is quite physically apart from his parents and other kin, although it doesn't mean that there is no close attachement. In fact, I can feel that he is keenly family-oriented. And yes, he carries his faith deeply, and that's what keeps him strong, I think. I also have the feeling that Ken is very discerning of the people around him. God-loving, intelligent, kind, talented, sincere, alluring and more - that's Ken to me.

He is all that and more but my favorite of all is his being ALWAYS self-effacing. I'm pretty sure he knows he is the most popular but he'd rather give the limelight to others because he's uncomfortable and I think he will always be uncomfortable with the attention people are giving him, especially because there are five of them in the group. In airports, he usually just acknowledges the fans with a wave and a nod while others mingle with them. Him always using a mask to cover his face gives me the vibe that he's uncomfortable whenever people scream or talk about how handsome he is. I remember, years ago, in one interview, they were asked who is the most popular with girls, he was quick to point that it's Josh and Stell (If I remember it correctly), adding that he's not much into social media. His sincerity gives him the discernment to recognize the kind of people around him, that is why he can sometimes be funny and so relax around people or clams up and only talk whenever he is ask to.

From being so playful while laughing out loud to being just silently mysterious. Today he is all over the place then tomorrow he sits in one corner. Of the five boys, Ken elicits the most awe from me. He had everything seemingly working against him but so far, he has beaten the odds one by one. And how! He was a male ingénue - so promdi - and it showed in his actuations in their early interviews, but look at the equanimity he displays now, not to mention how this probinsiyano has become a fashion influencer in no time. He is a study in contrast. He looks poker-faced and nonchalant during interviews but is actually a child when amongst pals. So even if i won’t hype my bias or pour him with praises every now and then, as a sisiw, I’m confident enough with his talent, attitude, personality, competence and oozing charisma, these factors speak louder than whatever haters are throwing at him. In reality, we know we can’t please everybody and i couldn’t agree more that most loved is also most hated, why? Because these haters project their enviousness towards him may it be for themselves that they don’t achieve what ken has or for their idols that they can’t handle it when someone shines. Ken's personality is so complex: A lot of people said that he is an introvert that is why I was surprised when he said that he was the one who made the group chat for all ppop boys and even invited them to play basketball. Ken, when he is with the group during interviews , he doesn't speak just let the other members answer. He was quiet in his own world. Then again another surprised when he wrote and produced his SOLO songs not 1 but 2. He can hold solo interviews, very eloquent and really knows his craft. He oozes with swag and manliness but he is child-like (bunso) around his members and staff.

The only Bisdak (Bisayang Daku) or Born a Visayan/Cebuano in SB19, who started local but made it global because of his exceptional grit, talent, fortitude and capability. I see Ken as one of the underrated, but Ken has not fully unleashed the 'Kraken' in him. With his multi-skills in sports, talent and faith in God, we are just slowly seeing the unfolding of Ken. His deep voice, unique and recognizable bass tone, are just the tip of the iceberg of what else he can do. If you listen and watch carefully in their informal show on TV and live on stage you can witness Kens vocal acrobatics skill. Brace up for yourself peeps. Ken's about to be a Monster in the music industry! Kudos, "Bay/ Dodong" Ken. The world's awaiting for you. An outsider among outsiders, he does not flinch in awkward situations, instead keeps his cool. That's why he is my bias. He is the most genuine idol/person I know. He doesn't pretend and he is just being truthful. Man of few words, but significant. When I encountered SB19 through a fancam only and they’re not popular compared today, KEN was the only member that catched my attention. Yes, his voice caught me. I am fond with deep voice especially in singing. It’s like a whisper to my ear. Why I like or adore him? Simple… it’s him being his true self. Who give a damn sh*t criticizing you when you know who you really are? Let them bark. No need to brag about everything. He came from rags to luxurious red carpet. It is because Ken is very hardworking and don’t depend on what he has right now. He made a living and so what? He knows how to make more money of his own. It’s his thing and we’re out of it. Out of the world, weird, naughty, spoiled and etc., well, we all have our own personality but in Ken’s, I find it adorable it’s because he’s cute when he is in his own world, weird that makes people happy, naughty in a way that we suddenly laugh out loud, spoiled…well sometimes we can be that person, lazy maybe he is too tired of managing his time for his business and showbiz… and so on. Just like other members, they all have their own personality. It might be negative but it’s them being true. What a powerful comeback! I think the reason why Ken has many fans is because, aside from his talents, he has the mysterious aura. He is also a man's man that's why he has a lot of fanboys. He may seem like he has an "i don't care" attitude but in fact he's just an introvert who'd rather show what he can do. Also, let's admit it, many are drawn to him because of his story and feel the need to always protect him. For me though, he's my amonsala because he is deep even when he doesn't say much. I am a capricorn same with Ken kaya lahat ng capricorn makakarelate sa kanya. We become silent when people around us become annoying. We isolate rather than stay in a crowd. We become socially anxious esp with bigger crowd and public places 'cause we have the tendency to either overreact with one's gestures when we find them annoying based on our judgment or avoid these places because we are afraid to be misconstrued. An idol by nature is supposed to be multi-capable - not necessarily multi-talented but should be able to sing, dance, act, model, public speak, and be charming and likeable. That's why it requires years of training to debut as one. The amazing thing about Ken is that he naturally possesses all of the talents for these capabilities. The one area he struggles with is the ability to switch on the charms when it calls for it - we can all chalk it up to his introversion. He looks more than happy to be on stage, charming, funny and entertaining, but off stage, "Ken" goes on hibernation and Felip takes over with his big IDGAF energy. And some people can't reconcile the fact that someone in the entertainment profession would require alone time and would not want to pander to their wants.

Ken (Felip Jhon Suson) is a diverse person but the majority of his character is from his mysterious aura. Bashers doesn't matter really because a bad publicity is still a publicity. Plus his hundreds of thousands of fans so that is why he is the first one from the group who boldly went for a sideline solo career and a fashione line. The type of his voice is unique than the others and therefore his competitors in the music industry are a quite few only. Not to mention his clean and sexy moves everytime he dances also became one of his edge. Lastly, he is one of the slowly rising fashion icon in the country and I am confident he can go way far in the fashion industry as much as how far he can go in the music industry especially with his handsome face, beautiful toned lean body and very striking anime look with a moreno touch. Thank you Chuck, so much!!! I never believed any of the negative accusations thrown at Ken. The reason why I'm a sisiw from the very beginning is that I can relate to him. Maybe it's bec we're both introverts. Plus the duality in his personality that I, too, have. He is so transparent. I love that about him. "What you see is what you get".
