I know people that put thousands into kitchens and baths. In one instance, the house became a tear down (one wall standing) flipped. New flip was 3xs what the flipper paid for the house. The other house, new owners gutted those rooms because "they were ugly" Kitchen and baths are worth the investment IF YOU PLAN TO STAY. Do not attempt to guess another's taste in decor.
