In the aftermath of the Holocaust, Jewish child survivors in the postwar period were both physically and emotionally devastated. Many had suffered recurring trauma throughout the war, witnessing or experiencing violence, deprivation, hunger and physical abuse. Join us for a lecture highlighting some of the issues that Jewish children had to confront trying to survive Nazi occupation and how these experiences affected and challenged their attempts to rebuild their lives after the war.
The lecture will be presented by Dr. Sharon Kangisser-Cohen, Editor-in-Chief, Yad Vashem Studies and Director of the Diana and Eli Zborowski Center for the Study of the Aftermath of the Shoah at the International Institute for Holocaust Research
