Wow. This really showed me a side of you all that we haven’t seen before! I’ve been following y’all since the bachelor/bachelorette. Following on social media and a listener to all your podcasts. I truly do love all of you guys and enjoy listening to you all each week. But one thing that made me kinda sad was how much Jared missed home. I didn’t really feel like Ashley was being very sensitive to his feelings in that moment. It was more of a “then call your parents more then!”. There was no, “this must be really hard for you and what can I do to help you not feel so alone or hurt.” I think I was just surprised in her reaction to him expressing his feelings to her. She was all defensive about it, and didn’t seem understanding at all. Giving him a pouty face at the end was kinda rude and insensitive to be honest. And as far as the whole “shooting for the stars” saying goes. I completely understand where Jared is coming from. Both my sisters are very career oriented and believe their success comes from what they’ve accomplished career/money wise. But I personally find success in other parts of life. Some people are perfectly content and happy doing what they love, even if it’s not what you love to do. It kinda seems like Ashley is wanting to force him to be a way that doesn’t make him happy. Maybe his idea of a perfect life looks different than hers, and that’s okay. It honestly just surprised me how Jared’s feelings were such a disregard to Ashley. I honestly didn’t see that coming and now I’ve seen a side to their relationship that we didn’t see before.
