I am so glad you guys are in the Middle East. As an American, I know very little about the area except what is portrayed in the media. I have never seen anything like this. That being said, I am in awe of the beauty of this place. The stark contrast of the white & gold structures, the pop of colorful flowers, blue sky and the dessert sands make for an absolutely stunning locale. And what lovely, welcoming people you've encountered. I, for one, am fascinated and can't wait to see much, much more.

Old Omani men are the best, I remember once i took a 3 year old kid to the shop to buy him some chips, I was probably 10 or 11 back then... this guy called us and gave us some money told us to buy whatever we wanted and blessed us... The old taxi drivers even charge you a fair price! I love this country...one of them rightfully called it ," a home away from home!"

Wow, so glad you guys came to Oman! I currently live in Muscat, and seeing you guys explore the city reminded me of when I first moved to Oman 3 years ago. In fact, the "Al Cornish Cafe" is the same place I ate at on my first trip to Muttrah. The building at 9:50 is Al Alam Palace, and it's the ceremonial residence/palace of Sultan Qaboos, the leader of the country.

I visited Oman when I was in the Navy in 1995. It was my favorite Middle East country, and definitely had the best weather. In fact, for the three months or so I was in the region, Muscat was the only place it ever rained.

I grew up traveling the world and it’s super refreshing to see people that are so open to exploring a new place. So willing to interact with the culture instead of sticking to tours groups and tourist spots. I’d recommend Israel! Unbelievable beauty and history with the nicest people! @@mansoureh have you ever tried the Ramadan food? It taste delicious! Being an omani is awesome, fun fact it's ranked as a safe country! You can walk around with so many gold and silver, diamond and Ruby and all the accessories you'd adore, without worrying about robbers! Not even pick pocketers.

I did that same walk from the port in Mutrah to Old Muscat, but in July, when it was 53 degrees. Stupidly crazy but I was just so amazed and in awe of the home of Sinbad. It was a fantastic time in Oman. Even the Al Alam Palace that you could not name.
