Theres a couple reasons like that he has on average really good teammates. He mostly plays comp and (I have zero clue what rank you are) but hes very high rank and is put with good healers and dps who can monopolize on the space he makes. He's also just really really good at doomfist lol.

They need to give dooms block a "perfect counter" window. So for a fraction of a second, right after you activate it, you can absorb any CC or damage at 100% reduction. Maybe it gives of a cool flash of a shield or lightning around the gauntlet idk.

Okay so 3 things: 1st That Lijiang clip was insane, so was the Mercy air kill. 2nd it's super wholesome of Redshell to genuinely compliment you like that and I believe he is correct, you have certainly adapted to Doom's new playstyle better than almost all Doom players and you're one of the best Doom players there are. 3rd The music and the editing are just so good again. Hands down one of the best OW creators on KZbin and in general - Before you made Doomfist look overpowered. Now Doomfist makes you look overpowered :D

Doom fist in my opinion is still a great hero to play! Personally I think he has one of the greatest mobility out of every tank and can still cause damage and flanks to the enemy team which is a huge annoyance if you’re broken like zbra! Zbra is the king of doom fist!

Doom has insane potential, problem is, less than half of the players that pick up Doom can even come remotely close to that potential. Widowmaker is hard in the sense you have to be good at clicking heads. Even if your game sense was awful, if you were mechanically solid you're fine. Normal skill curve, normal risk vs reward. Doom is quite literally just built different. His learning curve is equivalent to the grand canyon . I don't know how your experience is since I'm assuming you're a Doom main, but I'm coming from this from an outsider's perspective. Might be exaggerating it subconsciously, but from memory alone 7/10 times in my Master games someone picking Doomfist equates to dead weight. And that isn't great, I can only imagine what it looks like for ranks below Diamond. To me, he's the worst DPS not because his peak is bad, it's because his minimum is so high he ends up being a very unreliable DPS. And personally, I put consistency above potential as a solo/duo player.

Doom isn't bad exactly, he just isn't as practical which makes him "not good". This "doom is bad" mindset spreads around and makes people think doom is absolute trash, so they underestimate his capabilities and get slammed for it. He is a tank with two movement attacks that pack decent burst damage and moderately high DPS. If you look at the numbers he's pretty good, he just has a semi-selfish feeling kit, and lower health to compensate for being able to easily disengage (in theory.)

If you have at least one other team mate going in with you as doom you can absolutely devastate lobbies. His slam hitting a whole team actually adds alot of dps and people really under value how good it is. And just a little more follow up on a mulipunch and you can get ult level value from it. Even better when you can slam behind the enemy tank and charged punch them into your team. Mercy really makes doom shine from my experience.

Every time I see Zbra’s doom, I think about Jay3 watching GetQuakedOn’s beta footage. In that footage, he couldn’t finish out anyone because his aim was atrocious. He relied too much on the punch killing. Jay3 compared it to someone who has mad cross ups in basketball, but air balls whenever he takes a shot. Zbra, it’s wildly apparent that you put in the time to learn the follow ups. Redshell’s comments about how DPS Dooms are struggling to tank makes sense because most Dooms are playing as assassin DPS characters who take individual engagements then bounce. It’s super impressive how much value you pull out of engagements, especially when the enemy team has to focus you as the tank. I’m assuming that DPS Dooms are not used to the entire enemy team investing so heavily into focusing them.
