I got the beast mastery rune bear to spawn after killing one bear in Silverpine so must have been super lucky (it was the first bear we found coming from UC). For leveling I recommend a boar. Charge + Bite is all the threat you really need especially with the beast mastery rune. They still seem to hit pretty hard and you can feed them all the junk food you pick up including conjured food. The only thing they don't seem to eat is something with eggs in it.

Might need to update your video. The Barrens cats you highlighted don't have any special ability. Or not every cat has the ability and you have to tame a few to find one that has it in the group. Either way it was very frustrating.

to get the BM rune as Night elf you can get it in darkshore, just kill the dark furbolgs and get the crab treat, its doable at lvl 10 since the mobs are 12-14 and east to take down, saves you all the walking time

Or fish up the crab treats in Darkshoreas an alternative. Either way, super easy for Nelf and it's the natural next zone after leaving Teldrassil.

Explo with Master MM is very interchangeable while in a bm build in dungeons. It's an aoe now so add that with Multishot in dungeon runs. It will out dps Bm single target.

Carve can be used to train melee weapon skill without a target :) useful fornwhen youre running around in the city or traversing across the map without intent to kill much

if you're frugal and dont want to buy bows. you can do the steelsnap quest or the hillsbrad foothill quest to get good bows.

What is the best pet for soloing RFK. I'm guessing it's not possible to do the whole dungeon but I'm having trouble with 2 level 28 elite or a single level 31 elite using my cat pet

Solo'd the bear at lv12, he spawned and I ran and left pet. Pet died and he came for me and I ran far enough the elite de-aggroed. I then chased back and tagged him and started running back again. He took 1 dmg and died instantly (Prob was trying to despawn) and he dropped the rune.

I've been finding a carrion bird superior to a cat for leveling a groups, I am not yet raiding so w/e but the screech ability is adding enough damage to not notice the decrease and more than enough damage mitigation to notice

There’s a cheetah in the barrens you frost trap and kill. Super easy way of getting beastmastery rune on orc/Troll

Yes but you cannot do this at level 10 because you don't have traps. Getting the rune earlier has a significant impact on your leveling experience

lvl16 Hunter here, Fast Pet Attack Speed VS. Slow Pet Attack Speed? After Scorpid and Windserpent nerfs, i've heard slower Pet AS is better than Fast Pet AS now...? Need to either drop The Rake or Echeyakee, so i can start taming other Beasts to learn their abilities, so any thoughts, hints, tips are welcome...

Fast attack speed is good for PVP for more pushback against casters, but slow attack speed makes the pet attack you get from flanking hit harder, but it's not that impactful on your DPS it's just 1 pet attack. If I were you I'd just level up both.

Myeah @@Kippzo , but need to tame other Beasts to learn their abilities and the 5g price for that second stable slot, are kinda steep at lower lvls... Silly to blow 5g just to be able to keep 2 Cats... So i'll prolly need to set one "free"^^

Yes but you would need to be lvl 25. If you leveled with a pet that doesn't use those just tame the rank 4 one and you're good

For tanking and soloing instances and such, Elite Owl in wetland cave from which you get Heart of the Lion aura is the best pet. He is already 25 lvl so no need to level up and with learned AoE skill you get from vultures 17 lvl in Westfall which works like demoralising shout and also cheap on focus ,Owl is simply a blast. It could be little bit tricky to tame because it has some knock skill that interupts you, but with Fear Beast and Freezing trap it can be done.

Just a note on the Beast Mastery rune. The barrens cheetah is possible at level 10 if you can get another hunter in the area to trap it for you. Saves a TON of time and there are always hunters around willing to help.
