I think there might be multiplayer for this one. Not 100% but I wouldn't be surprised given the (presumably) increased focus on trainer battles. It's also giving me Colosseum, Gales of Darkness, Battle Revolution vibes. And we've only had one legends game so who knows what they might change. Exciting stuff either way!

🗣️ WE ROLLERSKATIN’ IN LUMIOSE WIT THIS ONE But no, rollerskates were oddly one of the first things I speculated about after the reveal. I looked a little more into the possibility and it’s more likely than you would think as France was the first country to patent a roller skate design. So hey… Reapplying roller skate tricks in full 3D, nailing a Pokéball backstrike while grinding on a rail- wouldn’t be a far shot to call it Pokémon JSR. Here’s hoping that comes true 🙏

Pretty exciting stuff, I haven't played a Pokemon game since Y and almost got into this franchise from Arceus but I didn't buy it. Maybe this will be the game to get me into to this franchise

The last part is total wishcasting. It's extremely common for Pokemon games to come out after the new console comes out for the old console only. And we do not know yet if backwards compatibility is a thing

Once again, Nintendo gives their game a name that no one will call it by. First Super Mario Wonder, then Pokemon Z. …notice how I didn’t say “Super Mario BROS. Wonder.”

Honestly it’s exciting though Mega Evolution is a bit sucky. They’ve shown there’s no reasonable logic and it’s been 3 generation with zero evidence that a Mega Pokémon can evolve in the future. To put this in retrospect after a single generation Duraludon proved Pokémon who weren’t fully evolved who got GMax forms could still evolve. It gives me the vibe they view Mega Evolutions as completing the line. Until they can actually prove this isn’t the case it’s gonna suck to see them give Ariados a mega instead of a cross Gen evolution.

@@Ribcut Just because other people like it and ignore the fact it’s literally just a replacement for adding actual evolutions to older Pokémon doesn’t suddenly make my concerns invalid, especially if they choose to make it exclusive to Kalos after Legends Z-A

@@Tylerr_Creative This arbitrary view of it being a replacement for evolutions doesn't hold much weight. Would you have the same criticism on terastallizing? That's the gimmick mechanic of the newer generations, and is an afterthought from the Pokemon themselves. Mega evolution is just that generation's battle mechanic, like dynamax or tera. This baseless idea these battle mechanics are somehow mutually exclusive with evolutions they would have otherwise made but decided not to seems like a bizarre reach to me.

@@Ribcut I wouldn’t say that for Tera since the gimmick doesn’t evolve adding an exclusive new form that is designed on the level of a new evolution. Almost every other gimmick doesn’t tread the line Mega Evolutions do, ZMoves and Tera actively target Type and Moves while being something any Pokémon can use. The closest gimmick to Megas are GMax but even then the moment they came on the seen it was given to Pokémon who could still evolve (Pikachu, Eevee, Meowth) and then a generation after the nail in the coffin of Archeloudon made it clear any of the one and two stage Pokémon who received GMax forms could evolve in the future. In the meanwhile we’ve gone 3 generations since Gamefreak Introduced Mega Evolution and none of the one or two stage Pokémon were given any new evolutions. I will admit it’s technically something they’ve never said but they also haven’t done anything to make it clear Pokémon who got Mega Evolutions can still get actual evolutions. It’s just that lack of info combined with this gimmick also being given to three stage Pokémon and Legendaries makes it feel like it’s meant to end a line. Again if we get something like a Manectric or Pinsir evolution in the future I’ll be stoked most of my issues with Megas would be gone in an instant but it doesn’t feel like they’ll do that or even say whether or not Mega Evolution finishes a line.

Where’s your source about this game being only on one city? Yes the trailer focus on Lumiose city but it could be just the main hub of the game seriously I don’t get where the whole “the game is just Lumiose city” is from

@@HonchoV1 Those links and statements imply Lumiose will be the Jubilife of Arceus replacement and equivalent. I'm questioning this person's ability to translate Japanese or understand nuance within the language. This assumption that players remain inside that city for the duration of the entire game is half baked speculation at best.
