Just got mine in the mail and couldn't be happier. I've had a few different Indy jackets over the years and the way this one hangs and feels when you're wearing it is, 100% Raiders to me. Thanks for doing the review.

Hello! How has this jacket hold up after all these moths? I’m considering buying one . Got a Magnoli one and it’s awesome but the sleeves where too short 😢😢😢

Wish you had seen my Indiana Jones Gear video series before buying that Magnoli jacket. In general, they make good stuff, but it is always horribly overpriced, and there are better options out there. I consider this WPG jacket to be an excellent option, especially if you're going for a Last Crusade look. Thinking about using this one in my next Indy film, that's how much I love it. Still on the fence about weathering it though, as it is thinner than my Wested. But for the money, this is an excellent jacket! :)

@@captainwesticle1654 I got the “overstock “ one and it was my fault cause I didn’t take my measurements. It wasn’t that expensive I hope I can sell it! But I’m in conversation with WPG to confirm sizes . I’m 174 cm tall and usually wear large . Not sure if I should get 42” or 44 or 40 . But your video helped me to decide 😃

@@RageONTv if you post it for sale on the Indiana Jones Facebook page, you'll have no problems selling it. :) I am about 4 inches taller than you, and I usually wear a 44. I also like my jackets to be a little baggy, so I can move freely while wearing them. Helps when I am shooting action scenes for my films. :) That said, I would go with the 40 or 42.

Minor correction. The square black buckles are screen accurate… not the D rings. Lol

@@RicParks I think it's safe to say we all have our favorites. I myself have a soft spot for Last Crusade, although I watch all the films frequently. I didn't even think Crystal Skull was that bad. :p

@@captainwesticle1654 you're both right. The Raiders jacket and ToD jacket are buckles. But Last Crusade onwards are D rings.

@theDWshow that's comforting. :) I have decided to make this an LC jacket, since it has the snaps on the storm flaps, so the D rings on this jacket would be a good thing. I'm also going to weather it. Stay tuned for that video. :)

Looks moreso a LC style. Recently I got the Bill Kelso Holy Grail Jacket which will stay unweathered, it's really soft and great to wear. Today my Steele & Jones Cazadora 38 all weathered arrived, that'll be for cosplay. Recommend both those makers too, they're worth saving up for.

Your videos are a lot of fun. I particularly love the Indy videos. They remind me of when I was younger. I also enjoy the references to vintage items and props, as I spend of lot of resources collecting and creating stuff from the past. I just bought a S&W 1917 Argentine on Gunbroker, for under $600. It's pretty aged, but is very close to the Bapty revolver, down to the gold medallion on the grip. Would you mind answering a question? I noticed the name Westie comes up a lot whenever I watch videos about Indy gear. It is also referenced in your name. Where does that come from?

I have actually never heard that term. If I had to guess, it is slang for Wested, which is the company that made the jackets for the films. I own several Wested jackets, and they are amazing. :) I have several reviews for Indy gear that involve Wested products, so maybe that is the connection? My best guess anyway. :)

The WPG is definitely more of a LC style with the snaps and the D rings and lower yoke etc, though the pockets aren't right and the LC leather was quite a bit heavier. Westeds aren't totally screen accurate either, especially the standards which can give you the look with a more average fit etc, though you can get really close with a Hero as long as you get the measurements right and swap out the buckles. Steele and Jones is easily the most screen accurate now -- they had access to one of the few remaining ROTLA jackets and are able to make an exact copy now, as well as the LC jacket from the Smithsonian. Awesome jackets, though they will set you back about twice what a Wested does. And Bill Kelso is right behind S&J in terms of accuracy. The other more budget Indy jacket I'm really curious to see is the Soldier of Fortune one. It's goatskin and looks fairly robust and is a really good price. But WPG is a really good jacket at that price range.

It looks like WPG may have reproduced a Wested LC, referencing the collar and snaps. Their first iteration was goatskin and they used a G&B as a reference.

Hey man, was wondering if you found the description on the WPG site to be pretty accurate as far as sizing? Says to order one size up for looser fit but the only thing is be wearing this with is the Indy shirt or a t shirt. I'm usually a size 40

I got this second hand, and was told it was a size 44. Assuming that is correct information, then I would get the size you normally wear. I wear a size 44, and the jacket fits me perfectly. :)

So the last crusade jacket has a button on the storm flap. Thought squarish buckles were SA. Anyway! Tha ks for the vid! Nice jacket! ... EDIT: got to the video where you talk about the snap later. :)

I don't know anyone who has, but I am considering it. I weathered a very small spot under the armpit, in the same way that I did my Wested on another video on this channel, and it looks like the same method will work. Not sure if I need two LC style jackets, but I am thinking about it. :)

The softness of the leather is what had me worried. I like the jacket because I can wear it longer in the year then any of my others. If I end up trying it I'll post some pics. Thanks for the response btw!

@@ericbutler1285 the softness was my main concern as well. I thought the weathering process would ruin it for sure. But I assure you, it will work, using the same method from the video where I weather my Wested jacket. But don't scrub nearly as hard. Take your time, and be gentle. :)

@@captainwesticle1654 recently purchased the goatskin raiders jacket from wested and man that's a nice jacket just fyi. I went with the goatskin because of it being slightly more durable then lamb. But the general feel of the jacket is quality.
