What questions do RTE have to answer about the Ryan Tubridy scandal?

Trouble at RTE over the payment of Ryan Tubridy’s complete salary has led to calls in the Dail for the arrest of former Director General Dee Forbes and for the Gardai to be called in to probe the legality of what occurred.
However, despite public fury and social media anger, the scandal is more about morality than law and order.
While investigators will follow the money trail and focus on individuals who knew about the dodgy deal it is unlikely that RTE gate will ever see the inside of a court.

If I didn't pay my tv tax to fund RTE I'd have some goon knocking at the door threatening me with a court appearance if I didn't over a few quid. These lads are spending hundreds of thousands on corporate boxes, limos, golf trips and dinners. While pleading poverty and funding issues. Its criminal. Tax payers money is squandered in this country HSE is another example. Public servents get paid too much seem to be above accountability. Makes my blood boil.

Tubs must be like a rabbit in the head lights for the past week. How the mighty can fall. Greed is not good when 160 euro is the price to pay. Big change`s need to happen in D4 after this. The top ten earners will have to have paypacks slashed by 50% and let that saving go to the workers and freelancers who deserve their cut just as much. Clarity on all source of income and costs of running need to be under one room and one competent professional person taking total responsibility and over sight by a similar board of adults. RTE provides no proper breakfast television alternative to Ireland AM - they provide a bare bones news channel which is simply simulcasting and repeating RTE 1 News bulletins, Radio 1 programmes, RTE 1 current affairs and Euronews, a total disgrace!

Ryan Tubridy's production company is called "Tuttle Productions". RTE paid his salary to Tuttle Productions. Then every year Tuttle Productions paid Ryan a salary, using the fee provided to them by RTE. This helps Ryan to say he is not paid directly by RTE. This happens in the UK - Graham Norton is not paid by BBC Studios, BBC Studios pay his production company "So Television" his fee, and then So Television pay Graham a salary.

Folks, the UK barter account 2 sums of 75k being paid and as consultancy fees and other sums of money from the barter account. Why was the barter account set up? And why in the UK?. Well here in the UK, Graham Norton is paid £3 million a year by the BBC for his talk show which is 50 minutes a week for 22 shows per season, along with his commentating for Eurovision and appearing on RuPaul's Drag race.
