In other news my first in-person NHL game will be next week in Vegas, VGK vs Caps, and although I'll be in black and gold I'm really there to see the Ovi counter click towards making history. Oh man the brick wall! Loved when a scoring a goal would blast goalie backwards and the net tumbling into the boards. Fun game but we would always revert back to NHL 94, and the Kings of OG Nintendo: Ice Hockey and Blades of Steel!! The fights in both were awesome…ice hockey with the fights turning into line brawls, and was it Blades of Steel where only the player who lost the fight would get a penalty?

New segment idea, similar to TOR parade watch, the Can watch. U check in on a struggling team or 2 till the coach is fired. Max 3 per year. 1 u pick at the pre season start, 1 pick at the 3 week mark, 1 u get to replace if ur correct. My vote would have been WPG pre season, Boston now and pit as the replacement. (Wpg was ovb wrong but thats part of the fun)

From a Panthers fan, never be too soon in buying or selling a team's early regular season stock. 21-22 and 22-23 were opposite sides of that same coin, with a President's Cup winner that got embarrassed by Tampa one season followed by a team that was dead to rights by the halfway point of the season being three games away from Lord Stanley. Panthers-Jets is shaping up to be a great back-to-back, though. Super excited!
