What really happened on the Mount of Transfiguration? Christian Questions Moments that Matter

Peter, James and John were given a unique privilege when Jesus brought them up to a secluded mountain. They saw a glorious and shocking vision of Jesus, but only he didn’t look like himself. His face was shining, and his clothes were white beyond anything they could imagine. They saw Moses and Elijah talking to Jesus about his coming crucifixion. And then the vision engulfed them in a bright cloud, and they heard God’s voice proclaiming Jesus as his son. And then it was all over.
In a recent podcast we observed many unanswered questions. Why Moses and Elijah? We know that they weren’t really there, as the resurrection had obviously not yet begun so what did they symbolize? And what about God’s voice from heaven?
