I love this couple and their designs. They are honest with the customers when things need to be fixed. They also prove how they have fixed very ugly rickety dilapidated house to a beautiful stately house/home with quality materials and designs. They are loving and warm family, because they never forget their children. For me Chip & Joanne Gaines are “ The Best Fixer Upper”❤

I loved their show, but I absolutely adore Joanna and her beautiful personality. She is gorgeous inside and out which is reflected in her family, her show, and everything she does. She seems totally genuine and, even though I am several decades older, she came across as someone with whom I would enjoy having lunch and getting to know. While I have always appreciated Chip and his talents, I felt that Joan ma's personality and talent were what particularly drove the show.

Not in a shitty way, but FYI: The saying is "carte blanche" - First recorded in 1655-65 as blank, blanck , or blanche (without carte ) in the card game sense, in 1700-10 in the sense “blank, signed document,” and in 1760-70 in the sense “discretionary power”; from French: literally, “blank document." Etymology is cool!!!

I miss watching them on Fixer Upper. They are such a warm-hearted down to earth people. I still remember when Chip ate that roach omg. They had a marathon for their show, and we were sending tweets on Twitter, and that show of the roach came up. I twitted oh no, not the roach part. Joanna twitted back to me and said, "Don't watch cause she doesn't watch it either 😂❤

nothing like finding a beautiful old house and destroying and gutting it and replacing timeless fittings with cheap stuff, and then storing the good old stuff in your own shed and either using it yourself or including it in future fixer uppers as if it was at great cost to themselves. they got it for free and its still costed into the reno budget. Meh yes they did really well out of that show and business. i used to watch it here in Australia and we used to laugh about the structures and unsurprised at why some of hte US buildings are destroyed in a tornado or whatever. Many of them really aren't built to last.

The kind of fame that they gained, many times resulted in a split in the family. But praise be to God that they are still together. I pray that they will stay that way🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 The success of their marriage is much more important than any other kind of success that they could achieve❤️

pretty sure they call it "fixer upper" from the saying thats been around decades before they were born. lol also it has been revealed that many times the buyer has already chosen the home to be renovated before the show finds 2 more to compare on the show. its already been "fixed". hws that for "not faking it" great fact finding👌
@FuchsiaFire4444 ай бұрын
When you put on a show like that you dont need giant loopholes for being sued and taken advantage of. The houses were already chosen for security. And obviously tje decoration wouldnt be included, that in itself is a small fortune for the time work and the cost involved overall.

Chip & Jo just has a special place in people's hearts across the globe. I love modern farmhouses and crave my dream home so much I'd cry at almost every episide. Im tearing up now. I'm most grateful they are still together. It was rumored they were getting divorced. Probably due to their silent movement off the scene and nosey Nancy's trying to get the scoop. But I'd rather they end the show than end with each other. I can always watch the reruns. Bless you Gaines Family. ❤ 🙏🏾

Wow, I honestly have not watched TV since 2017, i had no clue this had stopped. for at least 2 years this show would not miss me, but i went away to do remote work for almost 4 years. One thing for sure, I did always took note that they were ALWAYS focused on growing the Magnolia brand, that I very much saw. But beyond their talents... "Fixer Upper" was a successful show because of their INDIVIDUAL PERSONALTIIES. People CONNECTED with them, I too wanted to see what Wacko was all about, I didnt knew of the place before.
@lynnbarker10194 ай бұрын
I think that the best question is more along the lines of, what is your most disliked episode? There was only one episode that I can think of really. Even then there were vignettes that I still liked. And was the barn conversion into a home for a young man. I don’t like modern or factory homes ❤

Here in Texas, the amount of hideous farm style home she’s inspired is pretty exhausting to look at and deal with.
@donaldziemer19194 ай бұрын
IMO they lost credibility with their Christian values when they partnered with Target. The pro LGBT focus of Target didn't add up to their image when other venues would have been a wiser investment, just saying. Also, each program was the same outcome, only a different house. I knew that at least one wall would be taken down and the colors and features would be the same. She had one style and pushed it. Not everyone wants to live in a farm house style home. She has a natural design talent, but an interior design degree carries more credibility. I don't miss the show...you've seen one, you've seen them all.
@dennisshaw71534 ай бұрын
Your values are at odds with Christianity. You turn your back on the teachings of Jesus and will be rightly judged by your creator.
