Kenan had the better opportunity, but Kel was just funnier. And for a time, the two of them weren't on good terms mainly because Kenan went mainstream, and Kel didn't. Ironically both of them auditioned for _SNL_ with Kenan getting the gig, which is now 20 years as most cast members stay between 5 and 10 years. But happy to see him doing well nonetheless. They both played a role in my childhood from _All That_ to _Kenan & Kel_ to _Good Burger_ and beyond.

I was a kid when Kenan and Kel were on tv, and in my teens when Kel kind of fell back. I noticed when the kids were jerking(the dance craze at the time) Kel would host events for them all the time. It was like a whole thing, but it was mostly popular in Cali and didn’t blow up too crazy nationally besides the New Boyz and a few others. I also recognized Kel’s current wife from being involved in that movement at the time. Kel did start to pick up some roles here and there after that, or participate in throwback/reunion appearances.

I saw Good Burger years and years ago. I had no idea who those guys were. My granddaughter had the TV on Nickelodeon and the show came on of him playing the ex Rapper. I thought he was truly gifted. Keenan wanted to be a more serious actor/comedian, it's sort of like Big Boy and Andre 3000. Kels more wackier shenanigans placed a typecasting situation on Keenan in which they would always need to be together to be successful, Keenan clearly didn't like that and always wanted to separate himself. You can tell by Kennan's whole demeanor, he wanted to take himself more serious than kel. That's why it always looked like kel had more fun, while Keenan wanted to be more. He was exactly the same kind of friend as the one he portrayed, the Tolerant prick👑

For some reason, I saw Good Burger 🍔 for the first time a year ago. I don’t know how?! I was a huge kenan and kel fan and loved Nickelodeon. You know what? I think it’s because the other Nick movies I saw sucked (like Harriet the Spy) so I didn’t want to waste my time on good 🍔. But something made me watch it on Netflix and I was pleasantly surprised at how good that movie was. And watching it as an adult, it really was a good movie. I thought Kel should’ve been nominated for an Academy fr fr. He did really good.

Apparently you all haven't been following him. He was in Mystery Men which was a great comedy movie with huge actors of that time. And he was for a long time posting his own comedy shorts/skits online. Bus Stop is my favorite. "Sometimes at the bus stop, sometimes the bus dont stop!" Done like James Brown, it was gold. Lmao. Always loved Kel and thought he was way better of a comedian then Keanan, especially physically comedy.

Kel has always been doing something, even if it was more lowkey. I remember when the jerking dance craze was going on, it didn’t make it too big around the country, but it was a huge thing in Cali where it originated. Anyway Kel used to host their dance competitions and other events surrounding that movement. His current wife used to design accessories that the dancers used to wear.
