My grandpa died on the operating table for a few minutes, during surgery for getting a pacemaker put in. My grandpa has always been a mans man so to speak. He's never been one to show his emotions, or show signs of sadness. But one day, maybe 9 or 10 years ago, I was with him in his car, and as he was driving, somehow death got brought up. He proceeded to tell me, that when he died on the operating table, he saw the most beautiful place, and saw all his friends, and loved ones, who have passed away. While telling me this, his voice was trembling, and he sounded as if he was going to cry. Then he said "I don't like talking about this, lets talk about something else" my grandpa is the exact opposite of a person who makes things up. Hearing that story, made me feel better about death.

The afterlife is sustained by angels and demons harvesting our energy, all working for the same "god"/archon. After death we are judged by the karma committee and sent to a new birth with forced amnesia (memory is not in the brain). They occupy all the heavens and hells of this universe. Game of Earth I'm encouraged to write this article for most of the human race. The human race as I know it, doesn't know their own power and how great that power is and for sure they don't know how to use this loving power, while temporally living on Earth. As love is the fuel for power. I'm encouraged to write this article for most of the human race, because I know that most Humans don't know their own perfection. This article, I hope, will teach as many as possible to use their power to create a better and happier life while they live here on Earth. Truth is the fuel for happiness. It is not hard to understand what I say. However, it is very hard to believe it. For those that do, their lives will change as God's truth is the fuel for Happiness. When people believe in their perfection, their truth, long enough, they will totally neutralize Earth's illusions that have played on their thinking, thus compromising their creations. That will end. Again truth is the fuel for Happiness. When humans understand their (role) mission on earth, dealing with life here on earth, their lives will become easier. Know, when you understand Earth fully, you then believe in something and against nothing. My words (Gerald Albert) are easy to understand and some, very hard to believe. But that is normal. Earth is easier and easier to understand as we move to the truth of life. This article my help. New insight to thinking. This can be fun. I'll e-mail it to you -- go to -- geraldalbert@roadrunner.com

My mother did that terminal lucidity three weeks before dying if advanced Alzheimer’s. It was incredible. We had two hours with her, kissing her, singing songs to her, saying our goodbyes. The doctor was so astounded when she came back from her degenerated state and answered him appropriately, that he leapt back from the bedside in shock! He turned to me and said “I have only seen this very rarely. If you have kids or people who want to see her like this, this is your one chance”. It was almost magickal. I immediately brought my two daughters to my mother’s bedside!

If consciousness and clarity of thinking is solely of the brain then how can someone whose brain has been clearly damaged by dementia and/or Alzheimer’s suddenly be fine and completely normal UNLESS CONSCIOUSNESS IS SEPARATE FROM THE BRAIN and the brain is merely a sort of “filter” during this temporary life we are in?

Calla Antoinette I had a NDE. I’ll just say death is only sad for the living left behind. I am not scared of death now, I know this life is but one incarnation.
@JJTownley_Classical-Composer5 жыл бұрын
Here's what bothers me about NDE's: Dr. Fenwick says that only 4% of people who clinically die have NDE's. The other 96% aren't aware of anything from the time they lose consciousness to the time they are revived. This would suggest to me that only 4% of us overall have evolved to the point we will have some sort of consciousness after death. For the rest of us, from the evidence, our consciousness will simply fade into oblivion and we will be unconscious eternally--in other words, "dead for eternity". Another thing that bothers me: of the 4% who can recall their experiences, most have no control over what they see or what happens to them. Some good people see hellish images, some bad people experience total peace and love. Some don't want to go through the tunnel but are sucked in anyway, others who don't want to go into the tunnel are able to resist and stay on the earthly plane indefinitely. NONE of this follows any sort of logical pattern. We are at the mercy of whatever awaits us, if indeed something does await us after death. That is a scary proposition.

Having died in the E.R. in 1969 from a mixture of drugs and booze I think I can safely say that those who don't believe in an afterlife are in for a big surprise. The crushing part of death is the self judgement, when you realize the short comings of your life. When I use the term "crushing" I cant stress enough what an understatement that is. Anyhow, I met my great grandfather, whom I knew in real life, and he said it wasn't my time so here I am again. but the experience did make me change my life 180 degrees, I'm on Gods side this time around. I was a CNA, and cared for my grandfather in the nursing home. He was completely confused while in the dying process. I went in to see him and he started talking to his pasted sister. Then, held my hand and told me, “tell the boy I love him”. I had just found out the sex of my baby but no one said anything because of the situation. I finished my visit and went home. That night I dreamed of him. It was him but young. He was a logger, heavy smoker. He was sitting on the old couch tying up his boots smiling while looking right at me and said, “I’m alright, I’m heading to work”. I never saw my GF that age but I knew it was him. I woke up to my mom calling to tell me he had passed away. I told her I know cause gf told me. Now I’m a registered nurse and have had the privilege of assisting the dying. Back when that happened it was surprising and new, now after 20yrs of nursing I see this all the time. I’d like for the love to know out there that, I always continued to talk to the pt like they’re still there, while I’m cleaning them and getting them ready for family to see. I want them to know they aren’t alone. I have so many more stories like this.

Maggie Wicken I’m sorry to read this. I truly hope that this KZbin documentary has helped in some way. I do think that if we can except death as much as we do of life ; Death can be a less scary. I know so many people who are scared of death. I think there will always be a little part of us that has reservations about it. And many will say they hope they die in their sleep. But for many of us this is not the case. But it makes so much sense to let it take you and not fight it. I have had an out of body experience , which at the time did scare me. But this was due to me not knowing what had happened. But letting go I think is the real key to a peaceful death and of course medications if you are dying due to a chronic disease. But what I have seen of death is that them who fight it suffer so much more. And having loved one’s around helps many. But what I will say to people is don’t spend so much time thinking about it. Live your life even during the tuff times but if you can get your head around it death is not something to fear. I always say to people you didn’t know or suffer before you we’re born so it will be the same . I believe that birth and death are very much related and that we are a energy and our bodies are just a shell. All I can say to you Maggie I hope your passing is a good one and many loved ones alive and dead are with you.

We are living in a dream state. Everything around you is just energy and it's your brain that processes these energy patterns into what seems like physical reality. Even the scientists have come out with this theory and even suggesting that we live in one big holographic universe. When your husband was asleep, and being close to death, he probably passed into another dimension (where he met his Mother) and became aware of this fact when he was dreaming - having dreams inside of dreams. You husband still exists, just not in the physical vehicle he once inhabited. He is now in a different dimension and most likely resting his soul before he moves onto his next adventure in another body and also to wait for those other souls he loved in this world. This dimension is just as real to him as this world was to him when he was alive. Death is not the end - it is only the end of an experience before the beginning of a new one.

So I went on to work and two hours after I was at work I got a phone call from a hospital two towns away saying they were notifying me my son had been in a car accident. I raced over to that hospital where my son was in intensive care clinging to life. Fortunately he survived it wasn't until I saw the police report weeks later that I saw the accident took place at 2:30 am!!!

The brain does some unusual things when a body is dying. It is NOT unusual to see a bright light, to "see a light at the end of a tunnel (because tunnel-vision can occur as the brain is shutting down. They may sense things, feel things as each of the 5 senses shuts down, because as the body is shutting down, the brain reacts in various ways. You cannot "read" anything into it as spiritual or "out of this world" or anything else. Everyone is different, and no one sees or hears or feels exactly the same things since a lot of how you react depends on how you lived BEFORE you die! No one sane wants to die, and no human wants to lose someone they love. But none of us will live forever. MANY religions teach that there is a heaven or some "better place" that a person goes after they die. It is, in their minds, better than the alternative of just being dead forever, which is what we all will be. (There has NEVER been any kind of proof of life after death or of a heaven or a hell, or in-between place, but people will believe what they have been taught in their culture and if it comforts them and hurts no one else, there is nothing wrong in that! People need to grieve so whatever comforts them, is perfectly alright.)

I have screened this interview a couple of times, and each time I was so impressed with Dr. Fenwick. This is one of the most fascinating subjects we could investigate and discuss. I agree 100% with Dr. Fenwick that death and the process of dying should be a part of the curriculum at least by middle school if not grade school. Death is the natural outcome of life. It is the other side of the coin, but no one prepares us for it. It is not discussed at all unless someone we know personally should die, and even then, after death occurs, everyone wants us to "get over it and move on," etc. Society wants mourning to be as brief as possible, and that is not a good thing in my opinion. Grieving is essential, and each one of us grieves and recovers at his or her own pace. I think Dr. Fenwick is correct that we do not "value death." We do not like to discuss it. We fear it, and we put off death for as long as possible. This situation is so severe in some people that I have seen them put their pets through the most horrific treatments, e.g. chemo and radiation, just to try to stave off death. In all those cases, I think if the animals could speak, they would refuse these treatments just as many of us would refuse them. We need to start thinking and talking about death more. We need to include it as a mandatory class in the curriculum. We need to prepare for the natural end of our own lives and the lives of those we love. I would love to see Dr. Fenwick and perhaps some of his colleagues do a programme for PBS on this topic. Fascinating subject, enlightening discussion. Thank you!

I can really relate to what you say here, Carolyn. Mum also died at home, which was her wish. She had 7 weeks from diagnosis to her death. She was like a bride before the wedding - no fear, no struggle, no tension, she just let go (the opposite of how she lived, as she was very bullied by dad). Her energy was incredible. One visitor even returned after leaving, because of it! After Mum passed, she visited me for 20 years (as did her father, and my soulmate), which I didn’t realise was a visitation. I thought it was a dream. Always the same thing: we were in her front garden and we were just talking, and I heard the local mailman blow his whistle and his motorbike. I’d say “quick, you’ve got to hide. Trevor thinks you’re dead!” So we’d crouch down til he left, then we’d laugh like schoolgirls after we bobbed back up. This happened for 20 years, but not since. I know she’s fine. The visitations from my grandfather and soulmate were very different and had no humour. Thankyou for your story. x

IKARIANOFFICIAL Hello...I only just saw your response, but I felt compelled to write you. I understand why you feel the way you do, but perhaps the reason you do not “feel” your father’s presence or get signs is because you did not request it before he passed. I’ve watched many near death experience (NDE) videos lately, and it seems that many people who have them feel a sense of “knowing their family members are going to be ok” even though the family members will grieve the death....and they move on easier with this knowledge. I basically asked a favor of my dad, who always tried to please me in life, but one he’d have probably wanted to honor in death. In a way it was a deathbed promise....I doubt it would have happened had I not actually asked. I am a retired Registered Nurse of 30 years, and I’ve seen and experienced a few inexplicable after death phenomena in my career....This, and my own brief NDE, is what makes my belief in an afterlife so strong. My work with dying patients is also why I have an easier time discussing death with people....including my father. I, for one, am certain your father watches over you, even if you don’t feel it or get requests for “signs” granted. It’s also possible that the signs you DO get are not what you asked for or expected, so you may not recognize them when they come. Just keep love in your heart for him and talk to him when you need him. If you see this message, perhaps THIS is a sign from him, for I sure felt compelled to write you!❤️🌺💕🙏

If we knew for sure there was life after death, (I lean this way heavily, I'd put money. on it but I can't say I know for sure), I wonder how that might change the way we live. Wishing you the best on your journey, and many more cardinals and windmills.

I lost my mother when I was 4 years old. I was, and still am, a "momma's boy," because of those former years. I know from experience that the adage of the "first 4 years of one's life are the foundation of your character" are very true. I've subconsciously carried these years all of my life. When she passed away, I didn't understand "death, at all, so when I was brought to her grave, for the first time, I couldn't understand how she could do things like eat, drink, etc. So I remember being quite shook up over this & I even made a short-lived attempt at digging her up to help her. To which my aunt stopped. Well anyways, as the days & weeks passed I had a recurring nightmare about waking up in my paternal grandparent's upstairs bedroom extremely thirsty. The bed had faced the neighboring back bedroom, where (during the dream, but situated this way in "real" life) my mother would appear hovering toward me holding a glass of water. Each time I reached to grab the water I'd notice the lower 1/3 of her body being transparent (ironic word btw, considering...), so I'd remember, in the dreams, that she was gone then begin to doubt I'd be able to even grab the water. In which case, my hand would go through the glass, then I'd wake from the newfound nightmare. I had this dream multiple times. Then one day while sitting in the twin-sized guest bed, in the upstairs backroom, reflecting on this nightmare and how much I missed my mother, I just broke down and lost it. I think it all had finally "sunk in" and I vented out my heart break, screamin, sobbing, and crying uncontrollably. Before I knew it a vertical & oval light appeared through the coat rack on the opposite wall. And this glowing human shaped figure exited this "portal" of sorts. It had no detailed human features, just a humanlike figure wearing a form of dress or gown. And it was just a figure of glowing Light. Slowly I noticed the long hair & the slight appearance of a face and glowing eyes--no pupils just whitish. Then it started to speak......and it was my mother. 💓🤗💓 She began to comfort me & informed me that everything was alright, that she'd always be there to watch over me, etc, etc ,etc. Behind the scenes my dad had originally heard the screams & had gone upstairs to investigate and make sure I was ok, but by the time he got up there he heard me talking, so he crept in to see who he was talking to. He says he seen me sitting on the side of the bed talking to someone he couldn't see. But it didn't take long to realize who it was & what was going on. So he sat in silence to not interrupt, hiding around the corner. My ma said her "good-byes", told me to relay the message to my dad and entered back the way she came. I realize now she knew of my dad's presence in the other room. Longer story short it happened days later while taking a walk with my grandma, after I prayed to see her once again, where she enforced the realm she was in by saying she was so at peace she can "dance now...", something that was hard for her to do because of her lupus. I say this story because Dr. Fenway, in this video, backs up my experiences. I've spent my life listening to materialists & closed-minded skeptics try their (failed) best to convince me that my brain made the experience and/or this whole memory up to "cope with the loss," to some degree or another. I'm especially greatful for this video and the guy who lead me to watch it. (You know who you are Dave 😉) So please no replies of "sorry for your lost" nonsense. I never lost her. To all the heart break to the illusion of "death" remember our true Self is immortal.

Bikramjeet Bains ....and to ALL commentators .... Once the Eye Witnesses are in agreement, such testimony is submittable in a Court of Law, to a Medical Board of Inquire or Scientific Board of Inquire, and all such testimonies and evidences establish the TRUTH, and thus the doubters and disbelievers have absolutely NOTHING to say about the circumstances, and their mere opinions are not even given consideration, especially since they are Unqualified as Eye Witnesses to the FACTS. Also Mr. Fenwick’s CREDENTIALS and scientific methodologies described also qualifies his Observations from a set of established legal standards. Also as an important secondary verification to Mr. Fenwick’s descriptions and explanations. Peter Fenwick detailed observations and the eye witness testimonies are near perfectly compatible with the related FOUR parallel eye-witness testimonies of the Gospel Writers in the Bible concerning Jesus Christ as God, and related occurrences the Bible narrates. Where Mr. Fenwick describes the observed “...shapes leaving the body...” being, as He says “...quite common...” This is near perfectly compatible and describes the supernatural nature of the human spirit or soul the Bible clearly describes. These supernatural phenomenon of Biblical explanation, are further expanded by additional modern day eye-witness testimonies of patients who have been healed miraculously or even declared DEAD by the attending physicans or medical specialists and have been miraculously Resurrected. One of the best recent testimonies is that of board-certified cardiologist, Dr Chauncey Crandall who is spoken to by God to return to the emergency room and PRAY for the man whose death certificate He had just signed. As Dr. Crandall returns to the corpse being prepared by the attending nurse for the morgue, Dr Crandall lays His hands on the corpse and prays audibly. “LORD...What I’m I going to PRAY for this man??... I have just signed his DEATH CERTIFICATE!!!...” See the exciting conclusion to this amazing testimony at this KZbin link::: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4iwk4OYidVqrMk

I lost my younger brother in a car accident. We were so close. Me and him always had the same taste in everything which would include music, food and cars. He always believe in the paranormal and wondered what would happen after we die. I had the same thought stuck in my head. Well, there has been a few odd things that happened after he was gone. A week after the accident, i would have multiple dreams in which I would dream about him being okay and that I should not be sad. The dreams were so realistic and vivid. I had a chance to hug him in one of the dreams as he said to me, "time is just an illusion". There was also unexplainable nosies around the house. They would occur around the same time he was back from work ( he usually came home around 11 pm). This occured for about two weeks and then it stopped. I still wonder if it was him making the noises.

. . . I worked as an Undertaker for over twenty years, this is all true and valuable perspective. Such a shame that 'trad media' NEVER touch this subject. Life and Death are totally dependent on each other for reality to exist in this dimension.
@TheFossie125 жыл бұрын
True indeed. Particularly in western culture. Fear of the unknown which education would largely eliminate- and, seperately, the ‘functional consciousness’ of the body itself. Will to live is an automatic evolutionary drive of all life even at the cellular level. So that produces a feeling of apprehension in the physical body which fights ones resignation to death itself. In other words it’s extremely difficult to ‘will’ death to occur, unless the feeling of grief for a loved one is overwhelming and the desire to ‘join with’ becomes unbearable. Very sad and lonely. Much compassion is required. But apart from these, certain cultures actually welcome death as a ‘going home’. Imo it’s so important, and I constantly chide myself to practice the knowledge, to discuss everything on a regular basis during the day, with ones ‘higher self’. It’s there always but like your nose, you pay little attention to it. Ask for help and it comes. Make Friends with it and watch the dramatic results. The power it imparts on your daily life makes one realise how much help one ignores as we plod thru our daily lives like blind moles in bright sunlight. Asking your nose to identify a smell works too btw

I mentioned my experience only once after I got of intensive care, as it is something most people won't believe, and I don't blame them. See you on the other side.

My beloved doctor on Bainbridge Island told me of experinces he had as a boy when his father was Head Doctor at Western State Hospital in Washington State. His stories supported the observation presented here. Eastern religions embrace these conceptions of life as a wheel to give tranquility and serenity to the living. Jesus told Thomas that needing proof was ok, it was just easier to accept with faith.

My mom passed when I was 16 very unexpectedly. When she passed it was normal to record songs from the radio or whatever to place as your phone ringtone. I was playing an album from a band I liked at the time and one of the songs she loved it. It was a beautiful song. So I recorded it and helped her put it as her ringtone. Me and my aunt, her sister, took her passing really hard. Shortly after her death my aunt and I were sitting at her table and it was fairly late at night. All of a sudden an old radio she had her bathroom that she hadn’t turned on in years suddenly turned on and started playing that same song. Mind you this song wasn’t one being played on the radio EVER. I started crying instantly and was in shock. I didn’t believe in afterlife before that. 12 years later that old radio still randomly pops on every so often and plays that song. That song is like 20 years old! It’s her way of saying hi I guess ❤

When my Mother regained consciousness she informed all of us that Uncle Oliver had died and had came into her room sat on her bed and told her it was his time, he also told her this was not her time and she would be returning. In my family I have members who where born with strange abilities of seeing things, things people dare call false and lies, but even though I have no such abilities, I believe in them. My father in law has accurate premonitions and can see people beyond this realm. My late grandmother was the same, she even saw the coming of her own passing, which in itself was quite the shock. Lastly, I believe to this day I saw a message from my late grandfather who at the time before his passing, was in hospital with advanced Multiple sclerosis, I never knew what the message meant until I heard the news, I broke down after that.

I said out loud, "Oh no, not now. Please don't go grandma, not yet." The next morning I found out she was in the hospital where she passed later that day. I have had this happen more than once and can only describe it as having a thought pop into your mind out of nowhere. And since these experiences I have settled on accepting that there are just things we do not understand about how this all works, but there is certainly more to life and death that meets the eye.

When I was 16 I was in an accident on my scooter and was in a coma for 6 days. Months later when I left the nursing home my mother told me that on the day I came out of the coma I asked to see her. When she arrived, according to her, I told her not worry as a woman had told me everything would be fine. Apparently I then described my grandmother as the woman. The problem was that my grandmother had died three years before I was born and I had never seen a photo of her. I wonder if I will meet her again when I die?

Completely off topic but could you hear or smell anything while you were in a coma?
@Lex_Fur3 жыл бұрын
I'd say yes. If you never encountered your grandmother in real life and you accurately described her to your mother in your 'just-out-of-coma-state'... then i'd assume there is a connection between the dead and the halfdead. That's close enough for me to believe there is a connection. It would be one confirmation for the dead aren't completely gone... But it is for you and your mother to confirm these parameters. The things which you said to her, making her believe it was a description of your grandmother..., are these things she ever discussed with you or did you know these characteristics via stories from someone else - or not? Please share your thoughts after you picked up this conversation again with your mother?

I found my partner after he killed himself and it's remarkable how there is such an emptiness about a dead person- the best death scenes in a movie will never capture the absence of being. My younger sister just died and I saw her a day before she passed and she was basically completely non responsive (brain tumour) but she was still so alive in comparison...

I have never had a NDE so cannot comment on the experience. However, I have had what I might call a Near Life Experience. Without going in detail I found myself under great stress some years ago with my wife in hospital dying from a bodged transplant and small twin boys to care for. On the night she was expected to die I found myself enveloped in an exquisite light and surrounded by a love so perfect and potent - a million times greater than anything experienced on earth. In the morning my wife was sat up in bed eating and gradually began to regain her health. Whatever or whoever had visited me I cannot say only that as I returned to everyday consciousness I found the things of this world to be superficial, mindless and tenth rate. This experience convinced me that there is something ineffably beautiful which we my contact at certain times but from which for one reason or another we are barred in our sojourn on this sick planet. As you may imagine this experience changed my life - it was absolutely real in a way that everything else now is unreal.

I heard my dead best friend's voice around the time of her funeral, it was a whole sentence. It happened at 6 o'clock in the morning. I was so flabbergasted that I forgot what she said. I have also seen a bird fly inside our office, which is on the 7th floor in an urban area. I was in a meeting when it happened. I thought how weird. When I came out of the meeting I expected my colleagues to talk about the bird, but no one said anything, so I concluded that only I saw it. When my best friend was alive I would often think of her - because we were very close but not living near to each other - and she knew I did that because I had told her. I would like to think she sent the bird, to let me know she is not gone. I have no other explanation for it. I miss her every day.

The night after my mother's funeral, I said aloud at bedtime..Good night Mom ..as I had for years while being her caretaker. Like a whispery wind, I unexpectedly heard her voice whoosh into my mind and say...Good bye. I wondered why didn't she say Good night, then realized she had said what was appropriate. About a month later, my dog acted like she saw something down the hallway, then a huge portrait of my mom and I fell off the wall at the end of the hall where it had hung securely for 9 years. There was no obvious reason for it to fall. That was 10 years ago and agreed, you never forget.

My dad saw my deceased mom the entire week before he died. We are Christians and my mom did not interact with him, but he was lucid, pragmatic and not on drugs, so hallucination doesn't seem likely. His grief was so great, it seems God was giving him comfort before his deaf, while giving us comfort too.

9 years ago I had a bleeding brain aneurism and passed out at home without any warning. I was in ICU for 4 weeks Was on a ventilator Had double pneumonia Had a BP shunt operation in my brain to drain fluid buildup Brain chirgeons did "coiling" to plug the ruptured blood artery in my brain as it could not be sealed with normal chirgury After all this the infection markers went through the roof and the doctors informed my wife that there is no brain activity and with the septisemia infection the chances are slim of ever waking up and be normal. My wife and mother in law who was a nurse saw my eyes as if "broken" like when you are going to die. The next morning after 3 weeks in coma I woke up and according to medical staff I pulled out the ventilator pipes in my throaght. I was very droussy and nothing made sense especcially with the ammount of doctors ,nurses ect just standing arround my bed watching me without saying anything in amazement. I was unable to speak as my throaght was sore from ventilator pipes and I did not know what was going on. What happened while I was in a coma is the following and is still vivid and not like a dream that fades. I did not knew I was in hospital but I was looking at the hospital from the outside I saw my monitors and ventilator I climb into my hospital bed I saw a nurse or somebody but was female very happy to see me and welcomed me back???? I was also at my workplace I did not had any religious encounter but I grew closer to God after this experience than ever before and isn't afraid to die as life starts when we die. Except for my bad spelling I am 100% full health today. What I realised from my experience is that the silver string of life can be cut at any moment without you even knowing. Best would be to be prepared Read your bible daily Pray daily Be kind to your fellow man Love God with all you have

I could listen to him all day. Fascinating, and confirming of so many things I already know, having had a near death experience myself. And, just before my Mom died, the trees in front of the house filled with chickadees...so many that there was barely standing room for them all. She loved the chickadees and fed them, and they came to pay their last respects. Wonderful interview. Thank you for much for this.
