My understanding about this is ,the father did not go out to look for the son but stayed home and kept His standard. The Church now uses the things of the world in the name of Evangelism to attract people to fill up the church. I believe the Church should keep her standard and not come out all in the name of saving the 1 sheep. Thats compromise and it weakens her defence. I submit.

Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

The prodigal Son in the bible after remembering all the benefits once enjoyed and he has lost, made him return back home.. The Father never went looking for the boy but rather He was patiently waiting for the boy to return back home. Why did the Father never went in search for the boy? because the boy now understands the difference between good and bad and since he knows the way home he will return back when he is sorry. His father was patiently waiting for him. Why in the bible the boy returned back to the father, but the story of the lost sheep the owner went in search for it instead? Was it because the lost sheep never knows the way back home? I believe this parables were two different stories and they were explaining two different things

So why did Jesus came on earth to save us and not waiting for us going to heaven and be saved from there. The bible said He first loved us before we loved Him He just came we didn't request for Him to come. Jesus said go ye into the world and preach to many winning souls. He didn't say wait for the souls to come and repent.
