It doesn't bother me until I see a replica that looks as good as my authentic, lol. People have been buying fakes for decades. It's a fake food industry, fake medicine, fake perfume. If you want to buy authentic, then do so. If not, then don't. Some people have a mixed collection of authentic, replicas, and dupes. 10,000 plus for any bag is ridiculous. There is no leather that is that premium or that precious. I watch a guy tear apart handbags, belts, and slg. He compliments the design, yet ultimately determines that people are paying thousands of dollars for the brand. The leather and craftsmanship is usually a fair price.

I agree with what you're saying, but those ARE leather bags, and are even overpriced. A good leather bag can be bought @ 100$, and it costs about 1/4 of this to make. A semi-luxury brand makes half of their production in my country and I know what the prices are if you manage to snag one out of the factory

The félicie pochette is really nice and classy and you can use it in 4 different ways, so the CA showed me the félicie from the drawer and I checked on it then I asked the CA if he can get another stock so I can compare the one he pulled from the drawer so he did. I noticed that the félicie from the drawer the leather was a bit shiny or glossy while the stock he got the leather was matt so I choose the shiny one that attracted me but I just wondered why they are different and you might have any idea. When I got home I just noticed that when you opened the envelop the back mid fold leather was a little loose is it normal when openning but when its closed its ok no problem (I didn’t noticed in the store and compare to the other one). Any advise will appreciate, I do always love watching your videos.

I bought a Loewe Flamenco super fake as I was on the fence about whether I loved it enough to pull the trigger on the real thing. It arrived and it is SO friggin' amazing I have no need to buy the real thing. The attention to detail is spectacular and it even came in all of the Loewe packaging and tags. I'm not down with that as it does encourage people to sell them on pre-loved sites. It does make me a feel a certain way about the Designers selling these bags. However, I was interested in hearing your thoughts and agree with most of what you said in terms of reasons not to own fakes. On the other hand, I do resent the extortionate prices a lot of these design houses are charging and see no reason to pay them. From that viewpoint, if someone wants to own a designer bag, I see nothing wrong with a fake and feel it beats Hermes and Chanel at their own game. I agree, for massive investments getting a sense of whether the style will work for you buying a dupe (I’d really struggle with a fake) is a good way to test it. I feel like the more affordable option is just to approach a leather artisan and have them make the same thing bespoke. I don't do fakes. I don't do (handbag) dupes (these days the trickle-down is inevitable, and when you couple that with these fashion conglomerates you're bound to see shared designs). The félicie pochette is really nice and classy and you can use it in 4 different ways, so the CA showed me the félicie from the drawer and I checked on it then I asked the CA if he can get another stock so I can compare the one he pulled from the drawer so he did. I noticed that the félicie from the drawer the leather was a bit shiny or glossy while the stock he got the leather was matt so I choose the shiny one that attracted me but I just wondered why they are different and you might have any idea. When I got home I just noticed that when you opened the envelop the back mid fold leather was a little loose is it normal when openning but when its closed its ok no problem (I didn’t noticed in the store and compare to the other one). Any advise will appreciate, I do always love watching your videos.

To be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. I have some super fakes and some authentic. I also have a few bags that if you get close or look inside they’re obviously fakes from Amazon. I buy what I like and I don’t care what anyone thinks. If someone asks about a bag, I usually have to stop and think about where and when I bought it to remember if it’s real. Recently, I’ve heard 1) the designer prices are getting even steeper; 2) some authentics are also made in sweatshops; and 3) the price of a Chanel bag is enough to feed a family of 4 at a homeless shelter for months.

If I bought a fake bag I would use it as though it’s a real bag it’s mine so it doesn’t bother me and I also admit that it’s fake but I’m not gonna spend thousands of dollars on a fake bag is pointless to me. I bought dupes before & given the difference in price to charity or have given to the homeless. Their are malls & businesses, including a manufacturer in China that do nothing but replicate fakes of what’s popular. Not just bags and shoes, but absolutely anything you can think of that’s designer. The whole tire city works for these companies. It is rather amazing when you see the scale of it. I used to buy Michael Kors and a friend of my used to buy expensive fakes. She will brag that her bags are expensive and she doesn't use poor people bags. I now bought her brands and the same models, and I can tell the difference . In my opinion, Michael Kors' bags are just as good as Gucci or Prada or Lv. You are spending your money on the brand not on quality, and these brands are spending less than 100 dollars on making a bag. Most people can't tell the difference between real and fake anyway.

Michael Kors bags are a decent quality and last a long time. People who buy expensive fakes aren’t getting the real quality of the bag so they can’t compare to the real thing. That being said, 2024 luxury bags are not what they used to be.

Think about it this way...they are rich because they are saving their money by NOT giving it to the greedy companies. I'm a Louis girl myself and I'm currently selling most of my colletion and keeping a few of my favorite pieces. I am now leaning towards Coach. Louis just doesn't have the quality it used to have and the prices are out of control, especially "just" for a name. I won't purchase a fake myself and have just decided to switch gears to a better quality handbag all together. As far as dups go...I agree with you. I would rather purchase something that may look like a designer, but not actually try to be it. As a matter of fact the Coach design I'm loving reminds me of Gucci and Chanel.

Most people are rich because they inherited it or found a way to 10X their earnings over time 🤷🏾‍♀️ But I agree that luxury and people’s attitudes towards it has changed. I definitely have stopped buying luxury bags and have focused on jewelry and vintage furs. I may go back to bags in the future though but for now it’s not a priority.

A Chinese man from New York City, put me on game on the difference between fakes and replicas, fake and Replicas are two different things, fake mean it a design with different fabric, cheaper material, replica are the is made with the same material usually by the same people that makes it in the first place But they do it in a different warehouse. The cost to make the bags don’t really be much it’s like $20-$50 per bag, but the designers sell it 100 times more than what it was made for. So you just paying 1000 to 10000k for a name which is insane, we put too much emphasis on someone else’s name instead of try to make your name worth something. So if I like a design but the price is crazy high, I’m going rep, Getting the same quality, with half the price is a smarter move. The rich and wealthy do it all the time.

I have another idea: you don't even have to buy a fake tester bag, IF you're undecided about size. Cardboard and scissors! Cut the cardboard to match the specs. on the two Birkins. You can at least get an idea of how they fit you're body - get black cardboard if you want a black bag! Still undecided? Then buy a fake bag or two.

Different strokes for different folks, i bought from a reputable luxury brand and suprise suprise....it came straight from the shein factory.... So tbh as long as you are happy with what you buy and wear what you want within your budget, hey do you. I have no problems with dupes some of the dupes are even more durable than the originals, i have a luxury branded authentic sneakers straight from the website and i wore it once and its tearing apart...and i got a dupe sneakers from shein to go about my day and sis its indestructible! So....well...do and go within your budget. Ps. Fake bags, jewelry are great to keep especially when vacationing so if you mess up those or they get lost or stolen, the originals are safe at home😊
