Thank you for Dirk, mate- one of our all-time favorite, and most lovable LFC players. Would've been the perfect player for both Kloppo and Slot. And thanks for Slot also. Wish you all the best for the rest of the season! Jurgen for us, was the modern-day Shankly - the man who built the modern-day Liverpool FC, and Slot so far.. looks like the legendary Shankly's successor- the great Bob Paisley. Has the same mindset, not very dissimilar style of play, tactical superiority, mentality and temperament, as well as the intelligence and humility. For some, he's the perfect mixture of Rafa Benitez and Jurgen Klopp - that's also an alright comparison in my book. You can see why we already love him. Liverpool is a sentimental club, and we love to idolize our managers- past and present, and Slot is no different. As Shankly said- "There is a holy trinity at Liverpool - the players, the manager, and the fans. Directors don't come into it. They're only there to sign checks!" The manager is the face of the club, which is the face of Liverpool, which - for a city that's been so neglected by England, is our pride and joy. The thing with which we shove the English establishment's smugness and arrogance back in their faces! It is a revered position and the person occupying it, is like an ambassador. He speaks and behave, on behalf of us, and Slot is perfect! The only manager we cannot warm to, is Roy Hodgson, since we're anti-Establishment and he was forced upon us by the English establishment - the media, some in the FA, the pundits and their powerful friends. He also has that Establishment mentality. We're Scouse, not English! (If Jurgen ever wanted to get back to management, I hope he chooses us again, but if not, then you)

Not the most athletic by any means, but the player with the best endurance I've seen in a red shirt - and bones of steel, never got injured. That hat-trick at Old Trafford will forever remain in my head- among the many other great goals he scored for us. So sad he couldn't add a Champions League or a league title to his trophy haul, but he had the best fairy tail ending- finishing with a league title by captaining his boyhood club to victory! Now that, is the stuff of dreams! 😀

As much as i enjoyed Slot's and Liverpool's success and still enjoy... the best Feyenoorder you had came from Amsterdam, didn't play FOR Feyenoord but played AGAINST Ajax. The best in manager in 50 years maybe... Disrespectful as well vs Feyenoord LEGEND Gio... he laid some groundwork as well. What you say would be the same as saying that Slot singlehandedly led LFC to the EPL Champions (and possibly more). I understand Gio's impact cant be compared to what Klopp meant to Liverpool but you cant just step over the man...

I think most of us Liverpool fans, especially those amongst us lucky to have witnessed Shankly and Paisley, are just so thankful that we have a manager who is so obviously talented as Slot. I knew nothing about him and like many, just hoped for a top 4 finish. When I watch Liverpool play now, its a different experience. The way we play is unpredictable. I find myself paying more attention to where everyone is and what is going to happen next. The level of coaching has gone up a level. We will always love Klopp. He took us back to the top and if it wasn't for the cheats in Manchester, he'd have won 4 league titles. But we couldn't ask for a better replacement.

In my opinion Slot is very close to a perfect manager and honestly a football genius. When Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest it was like everything changed because he understood that you have to give 110% for every game and was unfazed. He can easily adapt to injuries, different systems, and high pressure. And he is brilliant at handling media. His tactics are simple yet adaptable and keeps some of Klopps philosophy which suits the players, but he adds control and his own style. Slot also understands what he needs to do to motivate the players and the Fans just like Klopp.

I think most people who are not Liverpool fans forget the team that slot inherited.. Klopp built a team but was burning out and was not "politically correct" with the chief and the office staff,.. Klopp knew what it took to build a team, he just wanted to run it his way.. so the big guys in the office did the next best thing, they replaced Klopp with "tactically" a Klopp clone.. Slot is the best replacement we could ask for, that's the genius of the ownership and office guys, they found a Klopp that will do as they say., but have no doubt.. Slot is a ruthless manager and will get the job done.

Spurs' knew what Slot was all about. Fair play to Levy and team for trying very hard to recruit him in 2023, but he chose to stay at Feyenoord to see out his contract. He probably knew he'd get a shot at managing the Reds and a better financial offer to boot, and I can't say I really blame him. Amazing job so far.

Has been their only real blip in an almost perfect first half of the season so far... Some of the stats to prove that fact are... They're top of the Premier League this Christmas with a four point lead... And with a game in hand on everyone else in the top half of the table... They're also unbeaten and on top of the Champions League Table by three points... Mo Salah is currently the top scorer in the Premier League with fifteen goals... He also has the most assists of any other Premier League player... And is the only Premier League player in history to reach double figures in both goals and assists before Christmas... Arne Slot is the current Manager of the Month. And Liverpool were predicted to be a mid to bottom half of the table team when Arne Slot was appointed to replace Jurgen Klopp... As even most football pundits were predicting that Liverpool's new manager would need time to find his feet... And it would possibly take him two seasons to find his feet and refine the team to challenge for the Premier League Title... And nobody realistically thought that Arne Slot would hit the ground running in such an impressive manner as he has... Now i'm not one of those supporters that thinks too far ahead... Claiming that it's Liverpool's title with just under half the season gone... But would any self respecting Liverpool fan... Want to swap places with the likes of Manchester City... Or indeed Manchester United right now... Because i certainly wouldn't that's for sure!. 👍
