This is so true. It took me many years to get to the same realisation. I am sure it will inspire many others. Well done, all the best on your life journey.

I don't know if your knee issue resolved on their own, but I noticed you had this problem in a few videos. I think I had something similar with my left knee for like 6-8 months. Even when not running, when I was sitting at my desk or lying down/sleeping, when my knee was in the "bent" position, I could start to feel the discomfort/pain a bit... Ultimately, I think it was mostly because my shoe and its cushioning were worn down - the steps I made were flat and lifeless, instead of cushioned and bouncy (from my shoes losing their life/cushion from wear and use). I didn't know this at the time, but I eventually made the connection. When I switched to a new shoe with fresh cushioning, it honestly went away almost instantly. I've had zero knee pain/issues since then. Not saying this is the case for everyone, but it is what worked for me.

My knee problem resolved after I began strength training and actually doing the physio exercises again, I can be very bad at keeping up with it!! Yeah since I was about 12 I've had knee issues presumed from dancing as I was a tap-dancer for many years (that was before I began running) then I fell during a run in 2016 and badly twisted my knee and since then it's been something that flares up now and again. Ouch that sounds painful!! But oh gosh yes shoes are so important in this aren't they! I think similarly to you for a while I didn't realise my shoes were part of the problem, and once I got new shoes for months I had no issues. However even wearing new cushioned shoes for my ultra I still had my knee issue come up again. I'm glad that the shoes resolved your pain!! :) Ultimately I need to see a professional about it, as even in times like now where I've had no issues with it for months, I sometimes wonder if there's something not quite right about it just from most of my life having been very active on it and having banged it or fell on it so many times! Thanks for your comment it was really helpful!! I have often forgotten in the past that shoes play a big part in injury prevention!!
