I really like this design. The flipper tab has always felt like it was in the way. During sharpening a bit and definitely when I'm preparing food. It also looks bad imo. So this eliminates all those bad aspects.

Depending on the state, it also makes it illegal. In New York State, at least, since the part of the knife used to open it isn't a part of the blade itself, the law defines it as an automatic.

I've got a dewalt folding knife with a plastic kickstop. I almost chocked when I realized it. I had only seen it on a couple other knives before so I was flored to see it on an $8 dewalt knife.

I’m embarrassed to admit it but I took my TRM Shadow apart to dye the scales and ended up having to box up the pieces and send it to them to put back together. Another time a spring from my Kunwu Pulsar flew out during reassembly and took me hours to find. So I try to avoid disassembly whenever possible.
