Exactly! Tommy is Tubbos platonic soul mate and Ranboo is Tubbos romantic soul mate. The 3 have one of the most amazing dynamics I've ever seen! I love how while Tommy is jelous of Ranboo he tolerates him at the beginning because of Tubbo but then grows to admire him as a friend. Ranboo is so friendly to Tommy because Tubbo cares for him deeply. Tubbo is with his husband and best friend, always supporting them, always being supported. While I agree with this I still feel really bad because C!Tommy wasn't prepared mentally for that. Tommy's life changed so much over time but the one thing that always stayed was Tubbo. Tommy going into the prison and coming out in even worse mental state was bad enough but then he found out that the only family he had left was moving on from him and he couldn't handle that. I personally think that Tommy came to terms with it solely because the one thing he wants is for tubbo to be happy, even if that means it's because of someone else.
