Out of all of traffic signs, this is the only one that requires you to stop, take out your sci-calc, and spend a few minutes planning and plotting your trip ahead.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This is the first video I've found that didn't tell you to use an inclinometer or other gauges. I knew there had to be an easier way! You also did a great job explaining the math. I didn't get to that level of math in school, but I have no doubts about calculating a slope!

Why you use the tangent use another sin,cos and cesec... Can you explain that
@theoverengineer4 жыл бұрын
In road construction and surveying, length of hypotenuse is not used much / not known or available.
@steelavocado14 жыл бұрын
Tangent is opposite/adjacent. The opposite is the 8, and adjacent is the 100. It’s the only one that doesn’t use the hypotenuse and no more calculations are necessary. You can use a^2+b^2=c^2 to calculate the hypotenuse which you can use in sin (opposite/hypotenuse) and cos (adjacent/hypotenuse)
