Used one my last year playing football in university in 2019, definitely noticed a difference. I use to see stars alot when tackling but the collar made that a non issue.

Last night was the first time I noticed players wearing them. I’ve been saying for a long time that hockey players need to wear a protective collar to protect their necks from someone’s skate blades (there have been deaths on the ice from players getting cut and bleeding to death). It looks like with a little tweaking, this could kill two birds with one stone.

I'm grateful for the explanation of this. I probably noticed it the most on Pollard. It's doing what really needs to be done: cushioning the brain. Because there's so much money in college and professional football I believe one day someone may be bold enough/crazy enough to develop a substance players can inject into their skull to "protect" their brains. Seems far fetched, but...football is big business. Ha!

What’s a joke about NFL players is they say we’ll these helmets don’t keep us from getting Concussions but then they don’t even wear there helmet correctly. These helmets they wear are so loose that they just fall off when they barely get hit which makes the helmet just jar around & then there chin strap is so loose that they pull their helmets off without even unbuttoning it.💯
