I love your humility, honesty and strength. Social media is full of fake lives, perfect pictures and bullshit. It’s refreshing to meet someone so humble, honest and genuine. I hope your health gets better. Surround yourself with people that deserve to be in your life and people who don’t drain you.

I can't explain why, but today I thought so much about you and I decided to search you here. I never thought you were dealing with these health issues..thank you so much for sharing this with us, women should support other women, and educate ourselves especially when it relates with health. I have been having problems with my utherus and bladder and have dealt with surgery and pain and doctors saying that it was all in my head. My life has changed..I lost quality of life because I need to pee all the time..I accepted..and some times I joke about it...but this..I never heard about it..and if your friends didn't support you when you most needed..who needs friends like that? Thank you so much Elle..you did a public service..chin up..I wish you well..😚🙏

It sounds like you've had an awful time Elle. I have suffered health issues in my life, so I can totally understand hitting that low point & the frustration of it all. I'm sorry your friends let you down & weren't there when you needed them the most but you always find out who your true friends are with things like this. The fact you are speaking about this is amazing & so important, it shows that everyone can be dealing with things we have no idea about behind all the lovely posts/vlogs you share. Sending you love, keep fighting girl & stuff the haters, they know nothing and never will(and karma's a b**Ch😏) xx💗

I've watched your channel for years and realised the other day that I hadn't seen your videos pop up... So I searched your channel and caught up. I never really watch health update videos... It feels too voyeuristic or something, but I'm so glad you've made this video and I watched it! You just never know what's going on in someone else's life ❤️ It sucks you have to go through this. Just upload videos when you make them ☺️ ignore the trolls and concentrate on your health 👍

Thank you so much for this Samantha! So sorry to hear you’re a fellow cather. Couldn’t agree more with the infections… I’ve been relatively lucky so far but it’s my biggest worry xx

I’m fairly new to following you on Instagram and confess this is an area that I knew very little about. Thank you for educating me on self catheterisation and the problems you and others are facing. I think you are amazing for talking about your experiences and for helping to normalise catheterisation. Look after yourself. Xx

Long time watcher 👋 this has brought back some horrible memories but also strangly comforting to hear what you have been going through. I hope you are doing well x I developed a mental block with weeing at the same time as I was going through insomnia and it was a truly horrible time. The doctors said there wasn't any concern for my health and completly brushed me off ( I wasn't going for 24 hours at a time). I ended up obtaining catheters myself and teaching myself. I did it once, completely broke the cycle and never needed to do it again, not suggesting this to anyone what so ever but I always feel brushed off by doctors unfortunately. 🤨

My mum was not catheterised for 36 hours (following the birth of my sister) and she was self catheterising for months and months, whilst working full time in an office.

That’s so awful to hear Dee and I think your Mum’s an absolute star. Sounds like she handled it like an absolute pro, which should never take away from just how awful the condition is. Love to your mum xx

Only watched the first 13 minutes of this video so you may have talked about this but you could have interstitial cystitis which is inflammation of the bladder, spicy food, alcohol, fizzy drinks, artificial sweeteners, chocolate, caffeine, intercourse all make it worse, I have this problem and have to now eat a mostly clean diet which is annoying at times as most things I like I can’t eat but the pain isn’t worth it. I have to stick to a alkaline diet and drink water with a high ph I hope this helps anyone. I had a camera in my bladder to diagnose my condition.

Hi lovely, thank you so much for your kind comment. I have actually had tests for IC but it was ruled out. I’ve pretty much been diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction so it’s more of a Motility issue… but you’re absolutely right with things to avoid. I don’t drink caffeine, fizzy or (much) alcohol any more and I’ve noticed a tiny difference. Hope you’re doing ok xx

I have interstitial cystitis as well! Took forever to be diagnosed, but after 6 months of a UTI, I knew something was wrong.

I suggest you do a full body check up scans, blood tests etc to find out what your body is lacking. Good balanced nutrition and regular stretching can help your body correct itself. You do look a bit weak and under weight. You may be low on iron, vitD and omega3. Also try to take a year long break from socials. As it just makes you more anxious and keeps you from relaxing and being content with your present life. Many times you just need 1 friend who understands everything rather than many who are pretentious. Go out to the beach more. :)

Hi Shravan, thank you for your message. I really appreciate you trying to help, so kind of you, however I just please ask you to maybe consider how you word things in future. I’m not underweight, and my boyfriend is a nutritionist so I’m quite possibly the healthiest I’ve ever been. I’ve had every blood test and scan under the sun… unfortunately it’s not something a supplement or beach walk can change. This is a very serious bladder motility condition which unfortunately there isn’t a lot that can be done to cure it apart from extremely risky operations. Unfortunately as social media is my full time job, taking a year long break would mean missing a year’s wage so I sadly don’t have the luxury of that. I also live in London so visiting a beach is sadly just not the way forward. The only thing my body is lacking is the ability to urinate by myself. But keeping everything crossed this isn’t always the way x
