Not in Eritrea, Democracy doesn't work there. They just need 1 good leader. Otherwise, Eritrea would become like Somalia. They can't over to let their guard down. They have a lot of enemies internal and external, including USA, Ethiopia and Arab League. IA is a good leader. He is replicable. The people don't want him to step down. @@lc5945I was in the park at that time, but on the other side... and it was quite surreal. we witnessed a commotion, then police cars coming that way, helicopters, public transport getting cancelled. people running away from there were telling us that a massive fight broke out, and we honestly thought it was just few dumb kids. fortunately, they got the situation under control very fast, as the park was being patrolled by a police car anyway, so it didn't get to escalate.

As an eritrean, she is right. Most young eritreans escaped through the border despite the shoot to kill policy of anyone going through the border. Everyone in eritrea knows of at least two people who died while crossing the borde. Some of them had to see some of their friends die in the sahran desert and in the Mediterranean sea. You can only imagine the bitterness those youth have for the government.
