THeres a bucket of features you can have on your ps5 that just isnt on the PC - the controller being one of them. the fidgeting of the OS, patches etc.. no sleep on the games unless you call hibernation "sleep mode" but then you cant use the PC for anything else so, sort of messes up that feature for PC's. Also, hacking is rife on PC gaming online, compared to consoles, its better controlled and harsher when you get caught. I have a 2.5k pc, but i'd rather play games on my ps5 pro any-day-of-the-week. Physical discs rule too btw :)

It's hilarious that even after all that, Linus said he prefer playing on the pro. I'm not sure if the hdr is the problem with Dragon Age The Veilguard as ps5 pro has ray tracing ambient occlusion on the performance mode. And this is with him cutting shipping charges out. Plus with second hand parts you never know if the parts will conk out 2 months after you purchase them. It's literally like playing a pc part lottery.

With all the deals right now I was planning on building a new PC to suffice getting a Pro but honestly for me it comes down to the fact console this generation has more to offer for me than PC gaming does. GTA 5 gets better updates and my base PS5 runs any game better than my current PC. Pair that with the fact that a majority of modern FPS titles offer keyboard support and it's pretty good on some games. My total for a last gen I7 and RTX 4070 was nearly 1K not even accounting boot drive and a new case. It's just headaches with PC gaming too, either there's a ton of sweats or cheaters.

Did you ever click the link on their graphics card for the AMD 7800xt that they say sells for $350? it was never that price! it still is $445 and now they removed that link and only shows a Nvidia 4070 for $550. Man if they were just honest. The Ps5 pro is priced accordingly and does damn good job. If you ever want to see spiderman 1 remaster using a Nvidia 4070 search a channel called MxBenchmarkPC and video headline Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered | RTX 4070 4K. You will see its exact match to a PS5 pro 4k 60fps RT on. The Nvidia 4070 does it 4k Dlss 3.1 60fps RT on. So yea kudos to Sony!

A 2060s is at 76fps with ps5 fidelity settings at 1440p, the ps5pro is at 1600p 60fps, 85 with vrr on, so the ps5pro is around 30-35% faster, which is a 3060ti😂

So here’s the kicker - last week, EA offered free trials of the full F1 24 game so I was able to download both versions of the game on PS5 Pro and also on my RTX3090 (about RTX4070 level these days). I tried matching it to the PS5 Pro’s ray tracing mode but the HDR implementation was just no where as good as on the PS5. I had to enable DLSS Quality to get a smooth 120fps as well. Plus all that time tinkering 😂 it just didn’t seem worth it. And in VR? ACC doesn’t even remotely get to a reasonable quality and fps on the PSVR2 (with the PSVR2 PC adaptor) vs what GT7 delivers with the Pro.

I would never build such a cheap PC. Have been gaming on a PC since the 80's and not going to change that and build them up with the best parts at the time as they change just like the PS does. At this point the PS is a PC just without all the capabilities and only for gaming unless you mod it. I will stick with the PC. Gad console back in the late 80's and 90's but always had the PC with me as well. Not a FPS gamer so i do not know the main frame rate for thoe but RPG's do not need super everything to work.

Linus must have forgotten that the console was sold at a loss. They can do it that way because it's mass produced. The economics will never stand up on DIY builds as long as it's sold in that manner. You don't have the ps5 controller with the pc it's another 80€ extra. With a pc you are mostly stuck at a desk, buying a desk & chair, mouse & keyboard. So there is actually no comparison to a game console which most likely get the sony exclusives first and were you can sit comfortably on a couch which you already have. pssr will get better over time it will compete against dlss when it's really good developed. Another thing to mention, a pc will have more power consumption, a console is around 200+ watts. A pc has alot of more power consumption than that, so that means a bigger electricity bill. I see they use a 750W power supply, what kind of comparison is this?? it's not ;( . The 5 pro uses a third 1/3 of that, not half, Alot of things aren't entirely correct the nvme ssd needs to be over 6000MB/s - 6500+MB/s The lifespan of a playstation is 6 years. i've seen many videocards in pc's gave up after 2-3 years and needs to be replaced.

I don't get it. I have a 3k pc not to beat a console but because I want to play the games I play the best they can be played. I know I will beat a console performance on the games I play. I don't own a pspro not because I don't think it's good value for what you get. It's just that what you get is just not good enough for what I want as consoles are weak outdated products on release and most the time even worse on these mid gen refresh consoles.

HDR On Windows is SHITE compared to HDR on consoles and a OLED or half decent TV. Just facts. A laptop is more comparable to a console than a desktop. Consoles uses (custom) mobile chips similar to laptops. Not a fair comparison at all when talking about a desktop vs console/laptop imo.
