Certain sets are just going to be more sought after, it is what it is. I think it will level off when Journey Together drops..but 151, Surging Sparks, and Prismatic Evolution will be the gems of Scarlet and Violet they'll just continue to go up...Also that Team Rocket set is gonna be a PROBLEM

I’m gonna throw my own speculations in if anyone cares: 1) The U.S economy is doing better, 2) The Canadian Tax Break making TCG one of the few tax free items, 3) the coincidental timing of OG fans having kids that are getting into that age, 4) The upcoming 30th Anniversary is gearing casual people mentally to start selling or building their old collections

In terms of rip and ships I think what has happened is that lack of product has pushed people to these live shops in order to get the sets or packs they want. And then with people watching whenever something big is hit, the viewership spikes, the overall engagement spikes, and it leads more people to be exposed to these rip n ships and pokemon as well. Me personally, I go to my rip n ships because they are cheaper than my local card stores and more readily available than retail products

Rip n ship is LAME. You want someone to to rip it for clout or something? And what are the prices per pack your paying? Or is it because you gotta have surging sparks which i seriously dont know what the hype for is. theres just one stupidly valued card do you you not have the pokemon vending machines near you? They are usually stocked with at least OBF, PR, SC, and TM sets almost always but I'm lucky we have a ton in most major grocery stores.

@ 1. I don’t like surging and have never bought surging so don’t assume lol. 2. Nothing near me has consistent restocks and there are no vending machines within 50 miles of me so how tf do u expect me to get product 3. I’ve paid 5 per pack for CZ openings, 4.25 per pack for Astral, and market for terastal 4. I’m not collecting any of the 4 sets u mentioned. Im focusing on collect CZ, 151, and the Trainer Galleries which I can’t find anywhere except for rip and ships or other secondary market sites. Open up your perspective a little bit. Just cause pokemon product is available near you doesn’t mean it’s the one I want or that it is available near me.
