So much talent in one short film I wish the whole movie was posted. I enjoyed this feel good song thank you for posting.

A historic little entry in several ways. It was the first of Universal's teen-oriented musicals, majoring on hep cats and jitterbuggers in a way that looks ahead to rock 'n' roll movies of the mid-1950s more clearly than the MGM vehicles for Garland and Rooney. It was Hollywood's first engagement of the Jivin' Jacks and Jills, who did ten films in three years before breaking up; and Woody Herman was given his debut spot in a feature, the First Herd channeling Ellington's hotter style. The track here reminds me of 'Stompy Jones'. U was run by bean counters who kept budgets down, but the excitement in this run of Bs more than compensates for the lack of production values. Helped along by the Andrews gals, it oozes confidence: the Greatest Generation preparing to do battle.

Universal's B films, sometime barely clocking it an hour, are really an experience no one should miss. They are like an alternate reality. Grace McDonald was very talented but gave up movies or being a wife and mother but was always led a very full life. Universal's Andrews Sisters films are an entity unto themselves; the sisters got star billing and star roles and were made for the camera. Love this grand finale, which was shot in several pieces.

Sadly, Comcast now owns them; and has them locked up tight.

@tapdancegirl88 It was a common practice not to wear tap shoes in the movies. The sound of taps was recorded later

Does anyone know if there are any existing videos of the McDonald siblings (grace and ray), dancing together? BTW I ♥ this film.
