Whitney... Very valuable analysis BTW and thanks for this. When you say the Chinese giants are not monetising Sub Saharan Africa and India, you are ignoring the massive strategic investments that they have done in some of the geographies like India....so yes you are partially right if you look at purely operating level, but for some of these businesses like Tencent or Alibaba, investing is a very core part of their strategy. And let us not forget SE Asia...we are talking about a 650M populating where some of these companies are massively & increasingly present at an operating level (either though acquisitions or strategic investments or directly)...
